Author has written 167 stories for Harry Potter. My name is Noeline, I've been married for thirty five years, I have two grown kids and three grandchildren, all of them love Harry Potter, even my nine year old grandson, who loves the baddies, Voldemort being his favourite. I live in Australia and if you see certain words spelt different than what you are used to, now you know. I keep my work on Australian English at all times. Everyone has their own beliefs, but I do write gay stories. If you have something against them, then please don't read them. My favourite pairings are Harry/Severus, Harry/Draco, Harry/Charlie, but I do have lots of others which will get posted, eventually. I have a lot of fun writing gay stories, I think that's why I wrote more of those than others. I have Harry/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, Harry/Luna, Harry/Susan, Harry/Tonks, Harry with characters I've made up myself. A lot of my stories involve sex of some type, not always descriptive, but I do have a few that's doesn't actually have anything to do with the sexual relationship between the characters, there more on a serious level. Right now I seem to be writing more straight stories, but I do have a lot of gay stories that I have not finished, yet. If I want to go with my belief about HP, then I would have Harry and Hermione together, where they would end up married with a bunch of smart kids with green eyes. I love the HP books, but I can't agree with pairing Hermione and Ron, if they married they would divorce within a year or so, same with Harry and Ginny. Okay, it's nice that JK had the golden trio end up as family, but the pairings are wrong, in my opinion anyway. I love to read books as well as fanfiction and I read a wide range of books. When I read fanfiction, it usually is on Harry Potter, but I do occasionally read others on shows or movies I like. I love all types of movies, from Harry Potter, to Star Wars, from X-men to Beetlejuice, from Clue to Braveheart, from Love actually to Alien, a wide range and types of movies. I love all types of television shows, apart from reality shows, I never watch those. I love Buffy and Angel, MASH, Smallville, X-files, 24, Bones, Vicar of Dibly, Heartbeat, NCIS, Criminal Minds, The Big Bang Theory, Dr Who and Torchwood, Game of thrones , plus lots more. I don't write anything but Harry Potter, even though I have started a couple of cross over stories, not sure if I'm going to finish it. If I do, I will post. I love the hits I get, but more reviews would be nice. They do let me know if I could improve my writing and of course, let's me know if I make too many mistakes. I do try and catch all mistakes before I post, but I'm like everyone else, we do miss them. I really appreciate every review I get, sorry if I don't respond, I just do not get time. I don't write in the hope I could write an original story and get published. I write for fun and it keeps me occupied. I am disabled, I don't move around very much, so most days I'm in front of my computer. I only found out about fanfiction about ten years ago, but then all I did was read the odd story. Six years ago was when I thought I'd try to write my own and to my surprise and my family's surprise, I came up with a lot of ideas. I don't use betas, mainly because these are my stories and I like the idea that I didn't have help even if there are some spelling or grammar mistakes. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, so now I love to write fan fiction, but also love to read what others put the characters through. I always write about Harry, but others characters are in my stories. I've been writing for a few years, mainly for myself before I finally decided to post. Apart from FanFiction I do use archiveofourown. I do appreciate everyone who reads even if they don't review, a review lets me know if I could make my stories better. I have at least another 150 stories or so, all my own idea's or help from my husband, son or daughter who are also great Harry Potter fans. Some are finished but haven't been edited, some I lost interest, but hope to get back to them one day and some I just keep adding more too. When I started writing, all my stories take place after or just before the battle of Hogwarts, but now I'm mixing them up, from when he was very young to his years at Hogwarts, even ones where he finally says, enough, and leave. I write gay and straight stories, I do mainly write to the books, not the movies even if I change them after by making Harry gay. Lately I have begun to change so my stories may start from the books then I take them completely in a different direction. I just enjoy writing about such wonderful characters that JK came up with. Some of my stories stay mainly to how the books are, but I do have a few that are completely different from the books. I only post stories that are finished, even if I put a chapter up at a time and it takes me a few days to get the whole story posted, they are finish, I do try and upload them straight away. That's one thing I hate, reading a story and it's not finished, so usually I only read completed so that's why I only put a story up that is completed. I do mark stories that sound great that aren't finished, so I keep an eye on them waiting for them to finished, then I will read them. I mainly started reading completed stories as when I got to the end and found it not finished I though okay, I can wait, but when I read when they were updated last, some were years which meant either the story might never be finished or it could be a lot more years before it is. I would love more reviews, even if it's just a smiley face or a frown, but the amount of reads I get is wonderful, so thank you to all who read my take on those fabulous characters. One of my pet peeves is when someone gives you a bad review but you can't answer them, but I found that those that bag a story are guests. Those types have to remember that I am not a professional writer, not all of us are even though some writers are brilliant and their stories are fabulous. But I say if you don't like how we write or what we write then don't read, you can usually tell what type of writer someone is by the first chapter, sorry for the bitch. Thank you to all my readers. One last thing, this is how much I love the Harry Potter world, I recently had the deathly hallows symbol tattooed on my wrist, and my daughter plans to get the same tattoo on her wrist. It's on the outside of my wrist, not the inside. |
