When it's not slash I like most of your fics. I just don't read any slash fics, nothing against yours in particular. But one big issue with your writing, in nearly every fic where the pairing isn't Harry/Hermione, you seem to *need* to bash Hermione.

Like this fic, it seemed fairly canon until Harry's reaction to his name coming out. But for no apparent reason here, you had Hermine believe Harry, but still stick by Ron the entire time. It flew in the face of canon, but without explanation.

I don't mind sometimes having her bashed, and she's not perfect in canon. But it just seems like you cannot manage to write a canon Hermione unless she's dating Harry. I'd like to see a bit more of her just being his true friend, or sister figure if they're not paired up.

Could be funny if there was a story about a muggle descendant of Slytherin. I mean it could be possible since we know that Isolt Sayre who founded Ilvermony was a descendant of Slytherin and one of her daughters was a squib who married a muggle - so her children might have been considered muggles.

Who is Howard and what does he have to do with anything? Oh, you meant Hogwarts and didn't know how to correct the error. A major error in the second sentence of the first paragraph really may cause readers to move on to other stories.

Why did the aurors check Sirius' identity before the questioning. It's much simpler and foolproof to administer the potion and then start with the question: "What's your name?"

If Eagle!Harry is able to sit on Neville's shoulder he must be an extremely small large eagle. But if you consider that falconers wear gloves made of very thick, very heavy leather, Harry not only dwarfs Neville (for example the Golden Eagle is a large eagle, it's up to one metre long, which is more than half of Neville's height, and has a wingspan of easily over two metres, a lot more than Neville's height spread out if he stretches his wings, say, to keep balance on Neville's "shoulder" and weighs about 6 kilos), he also rips Neville's upper body apart with his six centimetre claws.

There's a cartoon out there on the internet that shows Draco with his Eagle Owl sitting on his "shoulder" just like Rowling describes. And what should look like in reality, as the Eagle Owl isn't much smaller than the Golden Eagle.
