AN: Wow it's been long since I have updated. Sorry for the wait I had this almost done for a while but couldn't get the last 500 or so words out for some reason. However I did finish my outline for the rest of the summer and that will probably be the end of this story. I do however plan on making a sequel that will start where this leaves off. I just don't want to do a very long story I do have plans and the next one will be much better with it completely planned out before it is even started. This will be about 25 chapters in the end so I am nearing the finish line. I'm hoping to get chapters faster out after this my heath took a turn for the worse but I'm doing better now which allows me to have more energy to write. Anyways I do not own Harry Potter please read, enjoy, and review.

Chapter 18

The trio landed back in the foreyard of Potter Manor and Harry breathed a sigh of relief. Even though he had been cleared at the trial and for that matter things had gone even better than they had hoped there still was the feeling that it really wasn't over until they made it out of the ministry safely. Now that they had safely returned though Harry finally felt himself start feeling the elation that he had successfully pulled through.

They just stood there in the foreyard of the manor waiting for the others to come down. They used Harry's heir portkey to enter straight into the manor as the trial had taken so long that the sun was starting to set and it would have been dark before they reached the manor.

Harry saw his Aunt Nayira relax now that they were home as well. Hermione though on the other hand looked to be bursting with questions. He watched how when his aunt caught sight of her daughter's face it relaxed even more and slipped into a smile.

Before anyone could speak though, Dorea rushed into the room as quickly as she could without looking rushed.

"It went as planned I assume?"

"Actually Dorea," Nayira responded. "It went even better than we hoped and there is going to be a lot to talk about once we go back and sit back down.

Dorea looked relieved which made Harry's heart skip a beat. So his fears were true. His grandparents were worried that they would have to go and bring out the last minute strategy. At he thought taking another breath in things hadn't gotten to the point that they were willing to project their fears onto him as Harry knew that would have probably sent him into another tail spin that he definitely didn't want to go into.

It also seemed to Harry that his grandmother had caught onto how much he didn't want to recap the trial for she told him and Hermione to go to the library to catch up on the studying that was missed that morning—apparently after this morning they were going to have to follow the mannerisms that were being drilled into their heads with even more focus.

The cousins caught each other's eyes and even though Harry could see that Mione wanted to stay she would listen and go with him to the library. He motioned with his hand Mione nodded to her parents and they left the hall towards the library.

Once the teens were gone Dorea immediately turned to Nayira and demanded a recap of the trial in the way that only a caring relative could. It didn't take too long to explain everything which had happened and reach the point at which they could go over what they would do next.

The adults quickly began to throw plans back and forth as they continued to see what they could try and do to improve the situation that was quickly evolving faster than any of them could have imagined. The news that Sirius was to receive a pardon shocked all of the members present as they had dreamed it would have been a possibility but they did not think it would have happened for several more years at the earliest.

The big difference though was the support of Augusta Longbottom, the new head of the Wizengamot. No one had seen that one coming and the fact that she wanted to meet to go into more detail about everything showed the Potters and the Blacks that the head of the Longbottom family was obviously much more clever than most people thought. It was at this point though that an owl swooped down and brought a letter to Nayria. She took the letter and the owl continued to wait for a response. Seeing this Nayira ripped it open quickly read through the letter then summoned a piece of paper and scribbled a response and handed it to the owl who quickly took off.

Sirius was the first to respond.

"Who was that from Nayria? What was it?"

"How about I just read it out loud."

After several nods of agreement Nayria pulled out the letter and began to read it out loud.

"Lady Nayira Black,

After the events of this morning it has come to my attention many of the miscarriages of justice that have taken place recently. Over the course of the centuries the Longbottom family has always stood for the truth and justice. Even when it means working around those who only claim to do good but infact do harm. As a result I would like to invite you and your entire family to dinner tonight at Longbottom Manor. If this is agreeable I would like you to especially bring the Lord with you. Dinner will be served at 6 and if you are able to arrive at 4 to explain the situation to me it would be most appreciated. I know the Longbottom Heir would like to see the Heirs of the Potter Clan and House of Black. If so agreeable please send back a note of affirmative. The Floo address if Longbottom Glen

Lady Augusta Longbottom

Head of the Noble House of Longbottom

I sent her back a positive response as we would have only brought them here other wise. I figured that Hermione, Harry and I could go through first to ensure the safety of Sirius and after his arrival Dorea and Charles could come through with warning. I do not want them to surprise Augusta as she is getting older and it would not be good for her heart."

Charles just chuckled at that. "It sounds like a good strong plan Nayira the only thing I would say is that unless Augusta has changed significantly she would not be phased by Voldemort himself walked into her Manor and asking for a cup of tea."

Nayira just tilted her head to Charles giving him that point. The others just laughed softly to each other. After that the topics changed back to planning out the rest of the summer.

Nymphadora Tonks entered the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix with some nervousness. This meeting did not have a prior warning and so she had been quite surprised when Kingsley had entered her cubicle at work to tell her she had to get there right after her shift finished. She was more than a little nervous as well to find out what had happened to Harry as due to the fact that she had to work Dora was unable to be at Potter Manor to see the return of Nayira, Harry, and Hermione after the conclusion of the trial.

She could only hope that there would be a positive outcome to all of this. The only that Tonks could expect was that Sirius and Nayria would not be there. The trial had been scheduled for that morning and the fact that it had most likely been concluded meant that Dumbledore probably knew about a couple of the schemes and that meant she would have to be on the lookout as there would be no one to back her up if things went south with this meeting.

Unbenounced to Tonks there were a couple other people watching her closely. First off was Fred, George, and Ron Weasley. Sure the twins always tried to look in on meetings but this time they meet without their sister and she was normally privy to their schemes. On top of it Ron was with them. He was normally the last person that got dragged into a prank, well except for Percy, but they didn't talk about him anymore. The reason that the three of them were hiding in the corner was that they had come to the same conclusion for once in their lives.

Something was going on and they were going to find out. Not a single one of them had really trusted the normal responses put down to the disappearance of Harry and Hermione. For a long time the two groups didn't realize the others were on similar wavelengths until the twins decided to conor Ron one day. after that they decided it would be better to work together to find out where Harry really was and what had happened to everyone else. They could only assume that Harry had gone willingly as there had been no news on the front of the death eaters to his location but that meant they had no clue on where he was.

The only person they decide who might possibly know where Harry was they decided was Tonks. The young Auror was way too calm for everything had happened. In the past when she had any sort of upheaval she would be turning her hair different colors faster that they had thought possible but lately her hair had stayed pretty steady when given news about Harry.

The three Weasley males had decided to approached Tonks at the first possible moment but currently she continued to walk over to the meeting unaware of the eyes following her.

Tonks did not catch any of the three sets of eyes following her progress on the way to the kitchen due to the fact that her mind was totally immersed in the upcoming meeting. Upon reaching the kitchen where the Order held their meetings she took a seat around the table and sat there in a silence that was totally unbecoming of her until Dumbledore walked into the kitchen to start the meeting.

"I know that it was a sudden call out for the meeting but I have some news I am afraid that I must share with you all at first possible notice." Dumbledore started with a twinkle in his blue eyes that he was so famous for, "first off I will let you know that Harry's trial for his unfortunate and immature use of underage magic resulting in all of the charges being dropped. While that was the outcome that we had hoped for it was brought across the wrong way.

As you can see two of our members are currently absent. Sirius and Nayira Black. Now I have discovered that they have been deceiving us for the entire summer."

The Order erupted into many different voices. None of them could believe that they had been betrayed by the Blacks. For that matter Tonks thought wryly none of the members of the Order truly knew who and what the Blacks were up to. The way that Dumbledore was presenting all of this new information was something that Tonks would definately have to bring back to Potter Manor that night. She would also have to bring back the unfortunate news that neither of the Blacks would be allowed to enter their ancestral family home for a while.

It took several minutes for Dumbledore to quiet the Order back down so that he could continue his new turn of events towards the other members of his Order but before he was able to do so Mad-Eye Moody interrupted him once again.

"Albus what do you mean that the Blacks betrayed use they have been on the loyalist members from the start. In fact we are sitting in their own home."

It was this reminder that once again sent the other members of the Order into a tizzy which just made Tonks sigh at the pettiness of her fellow members. There really wasn't anything to be afraid of.

"I don't mean that they have gone to the Dark Side." Dumbledore hastily back tracked. "I just mean they are no longer loyal to the cause."

"So," Moody interrupted again. "How is that they haven't gone dark but that they are no longer members."

"I assure everyone that this can actually happen. Now I know that some of you are too young to remember to make this simple I will just put it out that Sirius and Nayira have found it more important to look for their missing children than to help stop Voldemort from achieving his goals.

I have become very disappointed in their loyalty to defeating Voldemort. Now they are also the reason that Harry and Ms. Granger are missing. They are claiming that they should have custody of Harry and they are also claiming that Ms. Granger is their daughter.

Now the thing is that their children were taken before the first fall of Voldemort and even the Tapestry in this house shows that their children are no longer living. Unfortunately I do not know what dark magic was cast in order to fool all of them into thinking such a falsehood."

"But Professor, " Tonks interrupted silently seething at what Dumbledore had insinuated about her Cousins. "How can you be positive that Hermione Granger isn't Aja Hermione Black? How can you tell that there isn't anything that has been done to the family tapestry. My mother raised me with stories about Aja and Ajax and their kidnaping. In fact I remember meeting them when I was little. My mother nor Nayira never believed that her children were killed and even though they fell out of contact my mother always made sure to keep an ear to the ground for any news about my cousins.

How can you really confirm that Hermione isn't Aja. It would mean so much to my mother if she was found as my mother has spent so many years searching it would be good for her to know that one of the twins have been found."

"Nymphadora, I also agree with you that it would have been great if the Black twins were alive but the tapestry says that they were killed the day that they disappeared so someone must have gotten to them to convince Sirius and Nayira that Hermione Granger was their daughter. It makes me quite concerned for their safety. Who knows if Voldemort has gotten to them."

Tonks didn't reply to this time. She knew that it would be a bad idea to try and push the truth in this situation as the only thing that would end up coming of that would be that they would start to get suspicious about her and that was not something that could possibly happen anymore due to the fact there was no way that either Sirius or Nayira would be able to back her up should anything come into harm.

"I know that this is difficult to agree to Nymphadora but the twins are truly gone and will not be coming back ever. On a different note even though they went about this the wrong way. I know that they were able to get, if I heard it correctly a pardon for Sirius."

At this new Tonks took in a deep breath in surprise. For while she knew about the plans of the group she did not know what had actually came into play. Now the reactions of others in the room were much more vocal with different members once again shouting out different things and most showing at least the slightest sign of shock at this news. Tonks just sighed as she watched the other reactions. That would be something to possibly bring back to the other's at Potter Manor, they definitely would need more people on their side eventually now the only thing left to do was see who would be good to approach.

She cleared her face silently as the meeting soon started back up. Thankful for the news but worried for her position as Dumbledore continued to update the Order. Tonks stayed silent for the rest of the meeting until Dumbledore dismissed them. At that point she was planning on quickly returning to Potter Manor but before she could leave Headquarters she was stopped by three of the Weasley Boys.

"Pst….Tonks." She heard a quiet voice. "Come here we need to talk to you."

Her guard immediately raised Tonks went around the corner to see Fred, George, and Ron Weasley poking their heads out from behind a door.

"What do you want?"

"We have a proposition to make with you."

"What is it?" Questioned Tonks slowly was some hidden hesitation.

"We know that you are in touch with Harry and Hermione." One of the brothers broke the news bluntly. "We have been watching you for the past several weeks and there is no other answer to your actions except that you are. Don't worry though." They added in as they saw her suddenly react to their statement with more than a little nervousness. "We aren't going to tell anyone. If we were going to we would have done that a long time ago. We just know that we are in contact somehow and we want you to put us in contact with him. If you can't do that we need to to at least pass along a message saying we believe him and that you will pass letters back and forth."

"I unfortunately cannot confirm what you have suspicions of." Tonks said slowly. "However I will take any sort of letter you may have and see if I can find a way to pass them along to Harry." She finished slowly. Letting the the boys know through her eyes that while she trusted what they said she would be unable to confirm or deny anything.

The three boys nodded in agreement and Fred spoke up for the others again. "Well then would you take this letter and see if you can find a way to pass it on." A letter was then passed from one group to the other with the silent understanding that it would eventually make it's way to Harry.

Tonks didn't give them any more time to potentially blow her cover and quickly turned from the boys and headed back out of the door. At that point she turned on the spot and disappeared from view.

Unbenounced to anyone in the room their quick and cryptic meeting had been overheard by another member of the Order. This member though was much more caution than the Weasley boys and did not approached either party but instead watched through a heavily scarred face as the different parties went their own ways and gathered his own intelligence on what he believed would be the most careful approach of the subject.

Cornelius Fudge paced around his office fuming. The meeting of the Wizengamot this morning had gone horrible wrong. Not only had he lost his ability to influence the court whenever he chose and in person but he had also lost his personal wealth. He just hoped that he would be able to escape with his hidden vault intact. He may not have been the most intelligent Minister of Magic but he at least knew that he shouldn't allow any sort of monetary encouragement to be found in his account as it would be seen as a bribe-not that it was. No he would have gone that route anyways it was just a thank you for his support on such important issues.

Then Nayira Black just had to come back. That woman was a pain in her neck before. He was just grateful that the loss of her children had convinced her that she should return to that uncivilized place where she came from. Nayira Black would have caused a huge ruckus over her husband's imprisonment.

However that shipped had sailed he thought sadly. She even had her daughter back-a Hogwarts student who thought that she was a Mudblood. It just wasn't right for a foreign woman to be an important position and have so much power. Just her return had lost him the Ministerial Position on the Wizengamot and his Gringotts Vault.

Fudge continued to pace angrily. There was no way to get out of this one. He was forced to make this promise in front of every single important person in the whole Wizarding World. On top of it he could not even rely on Lord Malfoy to help him out due to the fact that Augusta Longbottom was leading the coalition for the pardoning of Sirius Black and there were too many of the Dark and Neutral Families who would be be upset at the wrongful imprisonment of one of their own.

He just grabbed a sheet of parchment off of his desk and hastily scribbled out two copies of the pardon. One to be sent to the Blacks and another for the ministerial files. However he wasn't going to anoice anything to The Prophet that would be the job of the Blacks if they ever wanted their head to leave their house without being attacked by anyone walking down the street.

Fudge called out to one of the many secretaries he had assigned to his own office and handed over the small piece of parchment with the instructions to send it off to the Blacks. She looked slightly surprised but didn't allow it to really register. None of the secretaries in his office were very intelligent they were more there for their looks than brains. He had Delores for that.
