UPDATE UPDATE*

Life wasn't kind with yours truly, but rumors of my death may be premature.

To be brutally honest, we lost our second kid halfway though the pregnancy. It struck hard, I buried myself in the house building project, work, and more projects.

Then my other child turned out to not be willing/able to speak, and we were additionally trying to get him the help he needed, and it seems to be working out.

Tl&dr; I was burning the candle at both ends, then snapped it to burn a few more ends. Something had to give, and it was writing. The muse wasn't able to shout louder than life's noise. I will be back, I just have to get things in order, and 2020 is not really being cooperative in that endeavour.

I first came into contact with Harry Potter when the first movie aired in Austria. One fine day, my wife and I missed the movie we wanted to see, and the only alternative was Potter.

That was the beginning of a long friendship.

On Canon:

There are a few things in Canon that I don't get.

At first, it's the pairing of Hermione and Ron. Seriously, anybody who thinks this is something that could happen (JKR included) has his worldview serious contorted. A relationship like that might be a heated one, but it would explode in a huge display of fireworks after a bit, even if Hermione gets so desperate to really hook up with Ron. It's a fast track to divorce to base his relation on bickering.

Dumbledore - I either feel he's a meddling incompetent arse or an evil sadistic asshole, depending on my mood. At least, a scheming bastard like him should never be allowed close to children.

Snape - aaaw, you were bullied in your youth, and ran off with bigger bullies and then came crying when they were nastier than you thought... And now you have this pent up anger problem you have to release by terrifying little children.

Malfoy - He is a jerk who's mouth writes out cheques his body can't cash. Which one? Both. I can't believe they once again managed to escape the firing squad at the end of 'the book that shall never be mentioned in my presence'.

The Weasleys:

I like the twins, although they are kind of bullies sometimes... At least they only do it in jest or to people who deserve it. Their older brothers minus Percy are rather okay.
Their dad is completely whipped, but a nice guy, in a bumbling way.

Ron is an asshole. He is selfish, lazy, arrogant and as prejudiced as Draco. He has a habit of snapping at others, and always being jealous about something others earned, while his best trick is converting oxygen to carbon dioxide.

Molly. I hate her. She is controlling, and she is highly manipulative. She thinks she has the right to tell everybody what to do, to the extent to forbid Harry to enter the Order or telling Sirius how to behave in his own house. She is also helping Dumbledore in his strange plans, or why else would she ASK Ginny the number of the platform the first time we see her? She went there her self for years and had four sons in Hogwarts!

Last but not least, Ginny. I think she is a poor girl that has been led along by her mother, on instructions provided by Dumbledore. She needs five years and two near death experiences (chamber and ministry) to wake up and start being herself. While I like HHR pairings because they are so natural, HG pairings are OK to me, if made believable (means: not as in book six)

Warning:

Since I'm an adult, and I know a lot of girls that are just like Hermione, and without exception, EVERY SINGLE ONE of them turned out to be kinky, my Hermione usually is the same, to varying degrees.
But it's the REAL kind of kinky, where the sub is in firm control of what she allows, not those adolescent porn fantasies. My Hermione is the same bossy, clever and borderline OCD girl as in canon.

Taking a wrong turn turned out right - A short modified part of a longer fiction (Cold blood) I have in work - I blame a rabid plot-bunny.

Rocking the boat - Being fed up with being manipulated, Harry takes off and finds help. And boy, does he start rocking the boat!

In enemy waters - Sequel to 'Rocking'. This means war - no one pisses off Potter.

Cold blood - Sometimes, the tide of events really changes a person. (The thing keeps on growing, so I have no clue how many chapters are still there...)

Ronnie's Girl - Based on the song "Jessie's girl". Sometimes, you only notice what you want when you see it slipping away. (Harmione ship - don't get scared away by the title...)
