witchealer chapter 6 . 7/30 Hello, I stumbled upon this story and have been enjoying it despite the odd issues with English grammar and use of ‘tenses’ that are inherent in a fanfic from a non-english writer however, despite it being 12 years since you wrote this, I felt that I have to point out that Nottingham is anything but a small village. It is, and has been for many many years, a very large industrial city in the middle of England. Even in fanfic world it behoves the author to do a bit of research, look at a map for example when writing about a country you don’t know. That said, I’m still working my way through your list of fics enjoying your work. |
Bele chapter 14 . 7/21 nice easy Harry is the hero and we have a happy ending story. thank you very much for sharing this story with us! |
Harrison Aldrich Emrys chapter 2 . 7/9 Dammit! Why Harry/Ginny?! Does he have an Oedipus Complex?! |
RT89 chapter 14 . 6/15 Over all, a grand tale. Thank you for sharing it with us. I just usually save my comments for the final chapter in a completed tale, so I don't bog down the review section with platitude. I might check out any other stories you've written. |
glsgareth chapter 4 . 5/13 JK Rowling's Harry Potter stories roll along like a fat guy riding a bicycle. Sure, it wobbles a bit, but it gets there, eventually. Fan fiction re-tells her stories, making everything from subtle changes, "What if the bicycle was red?" to extreme ones, "I want to tell about the road before the bicycle showed up." I've always thought the best stories were subtle changes, like your story, basically kicking the tires or adding a horn. |
FFFudgeUp chapter 14 . 5/11 Love the way Harry got things done, even when he was on his own. |
HarryPotterFangirl85 chapter 14 . 4/29 Enjoyed rereading this |

M. H chapter 14 . 4/18 Beautiful. I love harry and Ginny’s relationship. |
gginsc chapter 14 . 4/9 Yayyy! Lovely story! |
muffdyvr chapter 3 . 3/31 damn! you just had to kill this fic with a hp/gw ship. |
Matt chapter 4 . 3/19 "They had deducted right" Deduct means to subtract, to take away. I don't believe that's what you intended to say. The word "deduced" would have been more accurate. |
frogjg2003 chapter 10 . 3/13 The word you're looking for is "desecrate", not "desegregate". |
Baelorfan chapter 14 . 2/13 Nice story. I read it yesterday (in the wee hours of the night). I can't say it made a huge impact (in part because I read it during a disturbed night) but I liked the idea of doing a ritual to drive out the horcrux inside Harry, and summoning Voldemort into the path of his own Killing curse. Anubis the young Grim was a delightful addition. I don't mind Harry killing Death Eaters. It's not as if he took pleasure in their deaths or tormented them to death via Crucial. I wish he'd killed Narcissa at her manor but I understand that he was unsure about her history as a Death Eater. I agree that Ron and Hermione were both idiots. Hermione could have returned to reassure Harry. She has a history of forgetting spells as in the Devil's Snare episode in first year. I actually understand that she forgot about the other uses of a Patronus charm, but feel that she chose Ron over Harry on the pretext of needing to recover from the Snatchers. Falling asleep and oversleeping can happen, but neither Ron nor Hermione thought it necessary to get back to the campsite immediately before looking for food. One of them could have Apparated back. They seem to have valued their personal comfort and safety over reassuring Harry. I feel that they got off easily. (Running away, not fighting, not being a war hero should have impacted their lives to a greater extent. Ron could choose not to be an Auror because he wasn't asked, for example. And the reputation of avoiding the war and running away should have had more consequences. Hermione has a better excuse in that she was a Muggleborn fearing capture, but still if she was *not* a war heroine, that should have affected her political career. I can't see Hermione as a successful politician, let alone as Minister of Magic. Yep, she didn't make Head Girl). Luckily Harry used his brains and remembered to call Kreacher. Canonically, calling Dobby would have made greater sense. Those are some of my reactions as I read along. I found the parts where Ginny and Harry interact, where she supports him through his breakdown, and where Neville and Ginny locate the diadem to be particularly compelling to read. |
Chemnerd263 chapter 8 . 2/12 I know you wrote this story a long time ago, but constructive criticism on a story that I otherwise love very much. The scene where Ginny tells Harry's story of what is happening. I understand these are things that she would have actually said, but I've already read the story, I already know all these things Ginny is saying, YOU ALREADY TOLD THIS STORY. It is aggravating to read through what is essentially a summary for the three or four new things, when you could have done many other things to skim past this conversation. Minus this rant, I really do love this story. Everything is well written and I enjoy the characterization. |
