These first few chapters are concerning. Harry’s a spectator, watching friends duel and die and not intervening. When rushing for the pensieve he couldn’t fire a curse into the back of one of the two death eaters battling Susan Bones? Ditto others. He can cast and walk at the same time but doesn’t. I’d hazard that a good number of his friends deaths is due to his passivity, and sole focus being on Voldemort, when he could have helped and still tracked him down.

This fic is already good for simply criticizing Dumbledore's follies without going on an edgy bash.

i'm not very impressed with lily or james, but particularly lily. She comes over as a self righteous bitch. I'm surprised harry can bear to call her mum. She doesn't really deserve the title, behaving like she has. I think it would be very hard to call people 3 years older than you 'Mum' and 'Dad', especially when they refused to believe the evidence of their appearance and knowledge. And where is the gratitude for coming through a hazardous ritual to save them from Voldemort? Completely lacking!
