Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. I’m a married to wonderful wife and we have two exceptional children. I’m a bit of a Harry Potter fan, though more of the world JKR created than some of her characters. I despise Dumbledore and Ron, for example, and Molly gets on my nerves. I’m trying to practice my fiction writing using the wonderful world created by JK Rowling. It makes it easier to practice if we newbies don’t have to spend too much thought on settings, etc. I admit that all of that makes me a bit of nerd, though I’m pretty decent at hiding it. Except I like wearing Harry Potter ties, so maybe I’m not as stealthy as I like to think. So with that I want to be clear that: "This is a work of fan fiction using characters from the Harry Potter world, which is trademarked by J. K. Rowling. I do not claim any ownership over any characters or the world of Harry Potter. The story I tell here is not part of J.K. Rowling's story canon (which is far better than anything I could write). I’m only borrowing some of her characters to practice fiction writing. The fanfiction story of Riddle’s Son is for entertainment only, I will make no money off of it, and is not part of the official story line." The portrait used as part of this story is of a Russian Revolution military officer (i.e. communist) and author Dmitry Furmanov by Sergey Malyutin. It’s close to how I picture the main character of Riddle’s Son to look, if he were an older Durmstrang student. The real life Furmanov died in 1926 and lived a fairly colorful, though short, life. I think there are some amazing authors and stories on this site. A lot (not all) are listed if you follow the tabs. But here are, in my opinion, some of the very best which has inspired Riddle’s Son (at least in part): Wind Shear by Chilord Bungle in the Jungle and Turn Me Loose by jbern Harry Potter Mercenary and Harry Potter HitWizard by DobbyElfLord Stepping Back by TheBlack’sResurgence Double Back by Methos2523 Contractual Invalidation by R-dude Laughing All the Way to London and Easier than Falling Asleep by JacobApples |
