You don't become the thing someone will miss the most over friends/family if you aren't at least somewhat serious, nor do you get jealous about the best friend and ask him if nothing else is going on between them, nor do you ask someone to come visit your country and meet your family if you aren't dating or then ask someone to please write and keep in contact if you haven't been that close. Like, Hermione is a year older than the boys, she was 15 all though 4th year, and what age are Ginny and Luna in 6th year? 15, yet they get to have hooked up and are old enough, meanwhile Hermione everyone forgets that she is a year older than the rest. I don't know it's weird how much this "no no NO we didnt snog no tongues sir" is spread through the fandom and it makes me uncomfortable bc it denies Hermione what the boys both got to have, a first relationship from which to learn and get experience to make the next one work |
