![]() Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, and Addams Family. 8/30/2019 I'm not dead, but my computer is. Writing/updates will resume when I can either afford a new one, or figure something else out. ~Jhotenko I am a thirty something I started reading fan fiction over a decade ago when my girlfriend at the time insisted I read her work. I ghosted around reading various anime and video game fictions. It really wasn't until recently that I figured out how to use the site well enough to easily find well written stories that I liked. I'm always open to receiving private messages, so feel free to PM me for whatever reason. I'm extraordinarily difficult to offend, and I'll simply tell you if I don't want to talk about a subject, or answer a question. I have learned that Writing multiple stories at once is beyond my capability. I don't know how other authors do it. The story that interests me more, 'When Harry met Wednesday,' takes up all of my attention, and 'Harry's cousin' has suffered as a result. I do not like the idea of having permanently incomplete stories, so I will eventually bring 'Harry's cousin' to a conclusion, I just don't know when that will happen. To avoid this issue in the future, I will not start another multi-chapter story until all other stories are complete. When that happens, I have a list of story ideas just waiting to be written, so for the foreseeable future I'll always be writing something. One-shots are a horse of a different color. Since by definition they are posted as complete, they do not adversely affect my works in progress. As such, I may throw out a one-shot every now and again if I can knock it out in one or two writing sessions. I have received one or two requests via PM, so I figure I'll explain how I handle story requests. I will only write a story where I am familiar with all of the characters and their worlds. Telling me the pertinent details isn't enough. I have to watch the show/movie, read the book/comic, or play the video game. Assuming I'm familiar with the world and its characters, the plot/premise has to interest me. I may also take artistic liberty with your idea. I have to enjoy the story to write it, and that means I might have to tweak things to suit my preferences. If the story is a one-shot, then I'll be able to fit it in whenever I have some spare time. If it's a multi-chapter story, then the best I can do is add it to my list of stories to eventually write. When I do choose a new multi-chapter story to work on, it will be whatever one interests me the most, so there is no guarantee that I'll ever get to your idea. I guess the main thing is that I'm open to ideas, but ultimately I write for myself. So long as you're okay with that, feel free to PM me with a request, and we can discuss your idea. Works in progress: I have no updating schedule. Chapters will be posted as soon as they are finished. Harry's cousin: My first story. While it was originally going to be a one-shot, this sucker is liable to wind up fairly long. It's a very character driven story, so don't expect a whole lot of action. (Note: At this point I am probably going to call it good at the end of year one. I may pick it up again at some point in the future, but for now I've pretty much lost all interest. There are still a few chapters to go, hopefully I will get them taken care of before too long.) When Harry met Wednesday: I was inspired to write this one from other Addams/Potter crossovers on this site. It's the Addams family, and not the cutesy version that appeared on Scooby Doo, so it will be macabre. As the story progresses, there will be mature content including violence and highly suggestive adult scenes. Finished works: Done, 'nuff said. Seven Deadly Sins: I had to write this down to get it out of my head. It is very short, and its main theme is character bashing. It's more of a scene than a story. The Fundraiser: The fundraiser scene from 'The Dark Knight,' with a little Addams thrown in for flavor. Written based on a premise provided by Mr. War. Master of Death?: A different, darker interpretation of what being the Master of Death might mean. |
