Poll: In Time, Interrupted, should Harry, Ron and Hermione beocme animagi? Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter. Well, I love Harry Potter, and I ship Harmony. I hate Hermione/Ron, mostly because Ron makes Hermione cry just about every book (and if he doesn’t, he makes up for it in the next) and I find nothing romantic about that. So feel free to call me Delusional or Militant (I‘m crazy enough to take it as a compliment), but please don’t tell me to reread the books, because I have. You can keep your anvils--I prefer my hippogriffs. Oddly enough, one of my best friends ships R/Hr, so we argue (It's less of an arguement and more of a debate, really) over ships all the time. She, however, has never called me either name, nor has she told me to reread the books. She's cool like that. Oh, and Hermione is my favorite character, so you can pretty much depend on her being the main character of my stories. I may branch out eventually, but I’m bookwormy myself, so I’ll stick to what I know. I also love the Phantom of the Opera, and I definitely think Christine should have stayed with Erik. I’m a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well, and I still ship Buffy/Angel and Willow/Oz. More recently, I've gotten into Avatar: The Last Airbender. It has to be the most mature little kid show I've ever watched. I'm a diehard Zutara fan. I'm not usually a fan of 'opposites attract', but for some reason, I think it works for this pairing, even if it didn't happen in the show. That’s pretty much me in a nutshell. Fair warning, any stories I post will be HHr, but I’m not going to beat you over the head with it. I’m not really big on romance, so I try to keep it toned down. I’m a firm believer that romance belongs in romance novels and that romance should be kept at a low level in Action/Adventure stories, so you can trust that there will be no lemons in anything I write. However, you can count on me putting in references to my ship. Be on the look out for characters named Harmony, the words Kindred Spirits, portkeys, and Pumpkin Pie. I'm quirky like that. Also, JKR decided that Hermione's middle name is no longer Jane. It's Jean now. The problem there is that I happen to like Hermione Jane better than Hermione Jean. As such, I'll keep her first middle name (did that make sense?). I mean, really now, who cares if her middle name is that same as Umbridge's? So Hermione Jane it is. Stories Home: The second story I started, and the first to be finished. With only three chapters, it’s not really surprising, compared to my other story. I’m particularly proud of this story, not only because it’s the first story I’ve finished, but also because it’s the most original thing I believe I’ve ever come up with. To my knowledge, there is no other story like Home, as Home takes place entirely in the afterlife. In fact, it begins when Harry is in the process of crossing over. The story was inspired by Albus Dumbledore‘s quote: “After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.” Time, Interrupted: My first story, and part one in a trilogy. It’s turning out to be much longer than the original seventeen chapters I had planned. In this story, Hermione’s soul is sent back in time after she is murdered to try and prevent Harry from turning into the next Dark Lord. The problem is that she accidentally went back to the age of six. Worse, Hermione quickly learns that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions when a good deed on her part has disastrous results. Time, Interrupted covers the younger years for Harry and Hermione, and while I can’t tell you their exact ages when the story ends, I can tell you that it will be well before they are teenagers. Many Thanks: A short story about HHr through the eyes of James Potter. I’ve heard a lot of people say that Lily would prefer Harry be with Hermione, and James would prefer Ginny. I decided to write a story where James would choose Hermione over Ginny for his son. It is, of course, another time-travel story, because that gives me more leeway in terms of creativity. This is probably my favorite story that I have written. A note on this story: I put it in the Harry/Hermione section because, even though it is told from James' POV, and shows him growing, the story is very much about Hermione's love for Harry, and how they eventually become a couple, with James' approval. Another note on this story: For whatever reason, the system was being wonky when I posted part three. For anyone who had to suffer through that chapter without quotation marks, you have my sincerest apologies. This was the first time it ever happened. I had to reupload the same chapter three times, in three different formats, to get it load properly. I assure you, it has been fixed. A final note on this story Once again, the system was being wonky, this time for part five. It had the whole thing in bold, italics, and underlined. I have fixed it now, but I am sorry for everyone who had to read it when it was messed up. I suppose I shall have to be more careful in the future when I upload something. Has anyone else noticed that a year ago, none of these problems were happening? Closure: This is a one-shot story, focusing mainly on the aftermath of a war. In it, Hermione essentially is dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Harry talks her through a little bit of it. This is not romance, but it can be considered Pre-HHr. Cheers: Sequel to Closure. This was a story I never intended to write but unded up writing it anyway. This has more HHr than the first story, but also features some insight into the other characters. It shows what I hope to be a realistic development of two people trying to adjust to a world they do not entirely recognize. Future Works Life, Interrupted: Part two in a trilogy. This story would cover the Dark Harry. It will show Harry’s descent into Darkness, Hermione’s death, how Harry gained control, and so on. It’s the companion piece to part one. It will also offer some insight into Hermione’s rather interesting dreams in the first story. Love, Interrupted: Part three in a trilogy. This one would be the sequel to both parts one and two, so it will conclude the story line for both timelines. It will be set several years after the end of Time, Interrupted. Snake Charmer: A complete and total AU that has been haunting me for some time now. I’ve read many stories where Harry was sorted into Slytherin, but this story will be what would have happened if by some strange twist of fate, Hermione was sorted into Slytherin. This story is still in the stages where it’s a jumble of ideas in my head. When I get some spare time I’ll actually write an outline for it. Baby Steps: Companion/Sequel to Many Thanks. It is a series of one-shots in the MT universe. Each chapter will feature a different character and their interactions with Hermione, and gives more insight into the changes she made. The trouble here is that I have so many stories I would love to write, but can’t really choose between all of them. The temptation to write all of them at once is rather powerful, but I’m well aware that it wouldn’t be very fair to anyone reading my stories. Unlike many authors, I can’t have seven stories going at once and still update regularly. On top of that, I have college and a job to balance. C'est la vie. A note on my storylines: Yes, I do have a fascination with time-travel. To me, it is the ultimate writing challenge. I have read the story, I know what happens. With time-travel, I get to take a character, send them back to whenever, and rewrite that story. I like the challenge of keeping the characters in character, while still making them evolve the way I want them to, and working out how these differently evolved characters would react to any given scenario. That is why you will find there are as many parallels as there are differences. I guess I just like the restrictions I put on myself to make it more challenging. Cheers, Madm_05 Normally I hate those 'paste this in your profile if...' things, but this was just too funny for me to pass up. I got this from Burning Ice's Avatar: the Last Airbender fic, "A Net to Catch the Wind". Only 2 of readers review, haven’t tried pot, and hate Twilight. Post this in your profile if you think penguins would make excellent ninjas. |
