This chapter has some plot holes. The Blacks are all taught to use Fiendfyre, and they have a place to do so safely, and a Black was trying to destroy an old artifact... yet he DIDN'T try Fiendfyre? Really?

Also, Harry has been training all the time to dodge, yet the ONE TIME someone actually casts a spell at him (and why didn't they just stun Karkaroff from behind?) he doesn't dodge, AND it goes through his shield. That was clearly plot forcing by the author, and makes little sense in context.

The last bit of this chapter makes no sense at all. You've already established that they can view memories, so he could/should have just offered his memory of the incident. It's a major plot hole in Rowling's work, but she handwaves it away as "memories can be faked". Nobody would believe a first-year in his first month would know how to do that, though.

This Hermione is wildly OOC. If she had come back the prior September as she should have (she's almost nine months older than Harry, not three months younger), then her behaving this way would make sense, but 11-year-old Hermione worshipped authority figures like teachers. She'd NEVER speak out against Snape, and regularly told off Harry and Ron for doing so for the next 5-6 years.

I always find it weird when 18/19 year old (or older, sometimes by decades) Harry goes back in time and gets along just fine with 11-year-olds. It's... almost unbelievable. He would talk differently from them, think differently. Even if he didn't know them it would be weird.

It's also extremely dangerous that he gave away all that information about Voldemort, which at this point he has no way of actually knowing. If that got out, people would want to know where he found it all out. Where's his proof?

This is a great story! Just one teensy thing I feel like when Harry said Dumbledore had no right to be playing god... it was pretty hypocritical you know. As hermione and harry are like going around killing people and "playing god" even though they have been doing terrible things. Buttt yh so this story is amazing and i look forward to reading the rest of it

I'm sorry, but the idea of Umbridge being a dark lord in any way comparable to Voldemort is ridiculous

I dont mean to be rude but im really tempted to stop reading this fanfic just because of the amount of times you wrote that harry and hermione wouldnt exchange ‘romantic’ gifts till third year. I nearly flipped out after reading it again. That is just too repetitive it hurts.

I suppose you could do an epilogue, in which (in order of events):

1. Harry proposes to Hermione
2. The two get married
3. Hermione is pregnant
4. Their kids attend Hogwarts
