Update: I've decided that I'm addicted to reviews, so I'm going to knuckle down and attempt to finish all my unfinished stories. One at a time, starting from oldest to newest. Wish me luck. I'll keep you informed.

Just to give an inkling on typoing with dyslexia, thais is what it looks like. teh bakcspace key is my frient. i often use it and weven with these mistakes, i can still type 60 wpm. i knw it looks like i'm hitting the wrong keeys byts tis like that's where my brain is telling me to put my fingers. i just to be much wose byt now i'm better.

Let me correct a misconception, I am an American. However, I'm writing from a British perspective, so I try to have my stories use British lingo . I don't always get it right, as is pointed out to me via brit-pickers (to which I am very thankful). Anyways, some reviewers seem to think I'm from the UK, nope born and breed USA. Just thought I'd clear that up.

Protecting Harry is a fanfic of a fanfic. The original Potter's Protector by mjimeyg can be found here on ffn. Go read it, it's a great read and one of my favorites. I just hope I do it justice.

One of my challenges was taken up. It is called A Day in the Life of Madam Pomfrey by PokePotterfan93: It is a very adorable story, you should give it a read.

There is also a one-shot off my A Brand New Start story: Brand New Start - Home Dimension by RUGoing2writethat. It is a really cute story on what happens to George and Hermione after Hydrus/Harry leaves.

I have a mini rant that I hope someone can answer for me. I read a lot of fics and I've noticed an alarming trend lately. Almost half the stories I try to read have three to five people talking in the same paragraph. Is this being taught in schools now? Because if it is someone needs to take the person who started it out to the woodshed. It's annoying. I can't tell who's saying what to who. I'm sure I've missed out on a few good stories because I have to stop reading them.

Nevermind, I looked it up and I was correct. It just makes my eyes wiggy trying to dissect those jumbled paragraphs. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has this issue.

Joining a community is useful. If you're part of one, you don't have to browse through all the fics, just let them do it for you. Well, you can still browse, when you feel like it. I have my own community and add anything I'm likely to read more than once. So, go, join mine, or another, or ten, and let me, or them, help you find a good story.

How to find a beta

Go to the top of ffn, click the beta tab, select your type of story (book, movie…), narrow results (Harry Potter, Twilight...), narrow them some more (drama, family…), go to the last page for newer betas, read profiles, and pm who you like. I suggest more than one.
