Oooh, I'd really liked to read THIS seven-book- story with Prologue and Aftermath.
But this abridged version in the form of an afterlife rant is very nice too. It saves so much time. And nerves.

Hopefully somewhere nice and hot... Excellent story! Loved all of the critical thinking involved and how you turned it into a fantastic short. Great job! Yeah - I can't see how JKR can justify Harry still holding Dumbledore in high esteem by the end of DH, especially naming one of his kids after his two biggest tormentors (after fats Dudley and Vernon).

Very thought-provoking, ZebJeb. It's about time someone netted things out to Albus in a way that actually compelled him to listen. I love the way Harry forced him to listen to how his behavior with regard to Snape eroded people's trust in Dumbledore.

Neat story. I couldn't agree more with Harry and his opinion of Dumbledork if I tried. From JKR's first book to the seventh book, I felt that Dumbledork was a liar and a master manipulator, he ever truthfully answered any of Harry's questions or acted like he cared for Harry's life at all.
In other words, I liked the Snape character better than Dumbledork.

Well done, that scene.

And good point about Dumbledore's support of Snape eroding Dumbledore's - and Harry's - public credibility. Somehow, I'd never scene that notion expressed so succinctly before.

I have no reason to believe that JKR believed she wrote Dumbledore as a good person. I just don't believe the person on the pages that she wrote was really good.

I always prefer Smart!Harry stories that would reflect the cunning and perceptiveness he would have developed by growing up how he did, and how that should’ve prevented him from such unquestioned hero worship of Dumbledore.

Never understood why canon Harry wore such rose-colored glasses other than “because, plot”
