Why was Hermione grumbling? I don't recall Harry dragging her or anyone else along at wandpoint. It seems to me that when you insist that a friend is walking into a trap but you insist just as strongly on going along with him, you waive your rights to then say, "I told you so." Hermione has a lot to learn about being a friend.

Did I misunderstand, or has Remus been healed of his lycanthropy when magic was busy healing Harry and the others? If so, does he realize this?

Really interesting story. I like stories that utilize the Veil.

YES! SIRIUS LIVED! My favorite fics are either reading the books (so they can fix it) or something being different to either alter from 3 when Sirius first escapes up through 5 in the DoM as I love Sirius and Harry and Sirius both deserved sooo much more, including each other and Remus too. This was... yes! 10/10

I love this! I wish there were more like this when it comes to the veil. Especially since a lot of Sirius returns are after the war so there's no Remus or in one story Sirius comes back almost immediately but moves on after they kill Voldemort as he was allowed to return only to help Harry defeat Voldemort

Now THAT was a good way to fall through the veil. I love Luna and Neville in this, it's so cute!

I much prefer your version of the veil to what JKR wrote about it. I quite enjoyed the story.

So Hermione and Tonks were both knocked out the whole entire time? It'd be funny to imagine both of their reactions when they wake up (and if you haven't done this already. i would highly recommend you to), in particular Tonks's as she has more to react to.

Just imagine Sirius and Remus telling Tonks about it when she wakes up brings me laughter.

Sirius: "Dumbledore was a bad guy after all, Voldemort's dead, all the Death Eater's are locked away, and Remus and I are now Hogwarts professors."

Remus: "Also Sirius healed a bunch of people. Like the Longbottom's, his own mental state ... I'm also no longer a werewolf."

Tonks: "What the - well; what else did I miss?"

Sirius: "Your mum is now the Potions professor at Hogwarts."

Tonks: "I wasn't even unconscious that long!"
