I really liked hermione in this chapter. She came across as the older sister trying to tease emotions out of her hapless little brother. Nice one!

I really like the build up of the relationship between Harry and daphne. It’s obvious that they care for each other and it’s nice seeing that build. I feel that the confrontation between Harry and Ron could’ve been a bit different though. I understand that tensions were high, Ron’d gone through a personal thing just prior, and grief from from Fred were all contributing I don’t think that Harry would up and cut Ron off. While he did leave them, the locket hit him the hardest and he did come back. They’ve been through too much together and are basically brothers and brothers wouldn’t cut each other out so abruptly. This may be leading to a character growth moment for Ron, which I know will be nice, I just felt that it could’ve been a bit different. Great story and I like where this is going!

I like the approach you’re taking here. Harry’s and daphne’s relationship is slowly building and I like how you pointed out the complexity of it through Astoria. I also like that Harry doesn’t just break up with her immediately since in a lot of stories I see, he just breaks up with her immediately; it’s a lot more believable for him to try to salvage the relationship if this is someone he ostensibly likes.

The juxtaposition between the political moves Harry’s making and the fact that he still has to study for school exams also highlights how the war effected them all: the war thrust children into becoming adults but at the end of the day, they’re still children. I like how you write and I’m curious to see where this goes!

Given Harry's and Tom Riddle's history, I'm just waiting on Harry to inquire how Hogwarts/the ministry finds muggleborns so he can set Andromeda and co to search for any muggleborns in muggle orphanages. Maybe even try to pass legislation to contact muggleborns earlier than 11 to introduce them to the wizarding world or do well fair checks on their families... Either through the orphanage or his position on the Wizengamot, maybe with some cooperation with Hogwarts to reintroduce those characters, I feel like that is something Harry would look into..
Just imagine, if Tom Riddle's first introduction to magic was Dumbledore transfiguring Tom's pillow into a teddy bear rather than setting his wardrobe on fire. Granted, it might not have made a difference but who knows? Even more so if Tom was moved to a wizarding orphanage when he first showed signs of accidental magic.

Great story. Kind of a super slow burn at the beginning. And it seems like the supporting cast is slowly disappearing. I had honestly forgotten Luna was even mentioned in this.

With her coming in to the story the way chapter began, I was kind of hoping she was going to drop some bombshell like a pregnancy or something.

I stumbled upon this story by chance, and I'm not ashamed to say that I have been spending the past few days binge-reading this. This is an absolutely wonderful story. Your characters are very believable, and I love the way you are rebuilding their world. Daphne and Harry's relationship is really cute, and I'd love to see how it turns out.
