Reviews for Harry Potter and the Game of Life
zapeli8 chapter 22 . 7/21
Well... Peter is a MUCH bigger threat here than in canon. That's very very concerning. I can easily see how the changes led to the werewolf attack, but Peter? Also, silencing Lucius wasn't all that stellar a play on the Death Eater's part. They just proved now he was involved. And hopefully the memories of the earlier interrogation still can provide a base. Not to mention the assassination attempt now.

And speaking of which... Someone's gonna have to put his Lying skill to good uses to cover up this one XD

Alas. Just one more chapter. Then I'll be all caught up. But damn this was a good one. Seriously, you integrated the game with HP so well!

But it's been so much fun with him back at school. I've been enjoying your Ron. I know we haven't seen much of him, but his personality here is nice. Stubborn, but also uncertain. Looking forward to his apology.

Shame about the date though. But what's a bit of danger to spicy up the dating scene? ;

Fingers crossed that the next chapter reveals Peter and gets Sirius' case looked into early!
zapeli8 chapter 17 . 7/21
Sheesh I've been reading this like crazy since last night and not leaving reviews. It's been amazing. So many twists and turns. And I love how you're doing the GAME system. It's keeping Harry from barreling full power into impossible territory, but still making him powerful.

The emotions and the rollercoaster of twists and turns though! I'll miss Tracey, honestly I will, but you also broke them up in a way that doesn't make either one feel stupid, or ruined as characters. It was believable and painful in the right ways, and most importantly didn't just feel like breaking them up so he could date someone else.

The Basilisk Patronus though! Right after that gutwrench of a revelation that one of the happiest moments in the story so far is a failed catalyst, you pull out that epic change! I'm sad I'm this far in. It means I'm gonna catch up in a few short hours.
Winter Lord chapter 4 . 7/20
Gryffindors rule, Slytherins drool? Please tell me thats a reference to HP and the PoS
naru namikaze360 chapter 22 . 7/16
I hardly put my opinion out there but I think I must at this point here. The way petigrew is written as someone who is smarter and more powerful then what is mostly observed in cannon is very unbelievable to me. Be assured I know he isn’t a lout but with the way he was in cannon skimming around never actually doing anything useful. That’s not someone who would be smart enough or ballsy enough to, as implied, rape Lilly. I very much hate that part mostly as it being improbable. I’ve liked this mostly but having gripes with a number of things including that I’m not sure I’ll continue to read this if it continues to be read
Nithin chapter 15 . 7/13
I am not sure whether you will read this review but I suggest you read the story properly.
Lord Greengrass' and Dumbledore's account contradict each other.
According to Greengrass, the lover was a muggleborn while in Dumbledore's exposition, it was a muggle(who for some reason was described the way Legilimency girl's boyfriend was in Fantastic Beasts). At least, if it was the other way round, I could have accepted that Greengrass was prejudiced enough to see a Muggleborn as a muggle(not a real wizard).
According to Greengrass, he caught them when Daphne was 1 and when Astoria was born, he saw the lover in her. Dumbledore said Voldemort had a hand in it, which I doubt. Astoria was born long after Voldemort's fall. I doubt he could curse anyone as a fleeing wraith.
I would rather Voldemort was not involved in it. People can make bad choices on their own.
Greengrass couple are a good example of the dangers of letting passion rule over you. The wife's affair not only destroyed the marriage but brought doubts on her childrens' legitimacy. The husband's berserk rage took away a mother from the children and destroyed any possibility of reconcilation. Harry can learn from them what not to do.
Guest chapter 16 . 7/12
British children do not call stuff 'neat' all the time - or at all really . No one uses in canon HP that I recall ?

Not sure what's best way to read/view actual dialogue kids in the UK ? Watching Grange Hill or Waterloo Road tv programs online perhaps . We watch US shows all the time in UK , but very few North Americans view any 'everyday' British ones & I know it's hard to get heads around differences in the language etc .

Like how this is going mostly.
Couple of flaws : Americanisms slipping in - faucet instead of tap etc .
Also Albums calling Harry 'my boy' is a FANON thing, not a canon thing . He usually just calls him Harry .
fridgeraiderz chapter 22 . 7/10
I lost most interest after harry blamed himself for the werewolves and I lost all interest at the scene with Peter when you made it so he raped Harry's mother.
thomassmith69 chapter 22 . 7/10
Oh please please remove peter raping lily as I think that will ruin this story to me :(

I found the story yesterday and I really hope that it is taken out as I was really enjoying it till then.
Jpfcentralgmail.com chapter 13 . 7/10
The self reflection was really interesting and brings to mind questions like, 'If you could change yourself to be like something else what would you do'?.It showing that what you want to change may not always be what you thought it would be like. For instance, I would have been half tempted to start all over again, because unlike what Dumbledore said Harry, is in the unique situation where he can change his every action and know the consequences of every outcome if he chooses to reload (But I would imagine that would have the unfortunate effect of making him more detached and manipulative with those around him).
Jpfcentralgmail.com chapter 12 . 7/10
That was a refreshing change of pace. It is nice to see that no matter Harry's knowledge or decisions that he will not always have things go his way. I can understand Greengrass's reaction to some extent towards the end their at his loss. Things did indeed to escalate quickly with both being triggered by the others actions and conflicts of character. A duel seemed a rather extreme way of dealing with the issue, otherwise I can imagine lots of houses losing stuff if everyone dueled over every slight (Though Greengrass's choice of words did require the man be slapped down).
Jpfcentralgmail.com chapter 9 . 7/10
Those language skills are certainly coming in handy, I have always had a fascination with different languages, but I suck so much at learning them it's not even funny.
Jpfcentralgmail.com chapter 6 . 7/9
Did Harry use points to increase his negotiation level or was that just his standard level? If so he could nearly negotiate anything with that high level lol
