Why even call him Harry if you're gonna destroy his whole personality like that? He suddenly doesn't trust the usual suspects, has forgiven Malfoy being a little shit for a year and decided he doesn't like quidditch. Just be braver and write an OC. You'll have less readers but at least it'll be more honest. But you also have to fix the impending OPness problem that will kill this story around chapter 25 otherwise. There's so many authors that write themselves into a corner because they just love to setup their character strenght with no regards to actual plot progression.

I've read a couple of hp gamer fics before this and its refreshing to find one that has a original method of Harry getting his gamer powers. I'm looking forward to the rest of the story.

So, Harry gains 5(Luck/10) stat points each level up? I didn't know that Luck granted more stat points... actually I don't think that we were explained what each stat does at all (which makes me wonder if Charisma and Willpower are lumped under another stat)... anyway, considering that Harry gains 7 stas points each level up at this point, that he has leveled up 5 times since the last time he used his stat points and that he gained 10 bonus stat points from befriending Amaranth, he has 45 stat points to allocate, if I were Harry (considering that he already has a solid stat base across the board) I would use them all to boost his Luck from 20 to 65, granting him 11 stat points each level up. After that keep focusing on Luck to boost his growth speed (651176 for 12 sp, 761288 for 13 sp, 8813101 for 15 sp, 10115116 16sp, 11616132 18sp, 13218150 20sp, 15020170 22sp, 17022192 24sp, 19224216 26sp and so on), in 8 level ups he could go from 7 to 26 sp each level, the difference in growth speed would let Harry catch up in other stat in 6 level ups (comparingring all the sp gained if none of the points were spent on luck to the gains after boosing the luck first it's 457*14143 vs 26*6156)... that and the other positive effects that a high Luck score can have, if it affects drop rates from monsters, quests rewards and random chances to find useful objects it could provide a massive boost to Harry's development even without the added stat points, just think about finding more Dungeon Crystals or Skill Tickets, or even if he finds none of them, just finding more books with useful informations could be a major boon that could help in Harry improve his skills, progress current quests (fro exemple his Path to Godhood) or start new ones.

And speaking of that Adept Skill Ticket, that is potentially a Huge boost, he could it to boost a skill that he hasn't much chance to train (Alchemy, Parselmagic, Wandlore), one that helps speeding up one of his long term goals (Runes and Warding for rebuilding his ancestral home, Dark Arts to find a way to rid himself of the horcrux in his scar, Wizarding Law to help getting out from Dumbledore's control and dealing with the Ministry) or boost one of his classes to improve his grades (a bit of a waste in my opinion, but DADA could be considered a survival skill, potions could be appealing due to Snape's poor teaching methods and History of Magic due to Professor Binns, however I would simply hire a tutor for them)... personally I think Harry should boost his Occlumancy, keeping people from learning his secrets should be high on Harry's priority list, plus the benefits that a well structured mind has for magic and learning (I think it would increase the rate skills improve through meditation and studying).

Now, as I've said before, there are some mechanics of the System that need to be explained better, one of them is Perks and Flaws, I don't remember seeing any explaination about how they work, how one acquires or loses/gets-rid-of them, does Harry get perk points to spend on them or can he only do so by performing some actions like he did when he gained the Pyromaniac perk by killing 600 doxies with fire? Personally I think it would be best if the perks had stats and skills requirements and once this requirements are met they are aviable for Harry to unlock by performing certain actions (which can be as drammatic as killing hundreds of creatures with fire or as simple as doing some focused study, meditation or practice).

Now, the Materia Forma charm (I don't think it can be classified as a jinx or a curse), it's supposed to be able to shape materials but in the case of objects made of metal the result is not as good as forging the items would have been... well, the heating and hammering is just to shape the object, then there's the heat treatment to harden and temper the object, Harry can use the Materia Forma charm to shape high quality steel (can be bought by muggles) then give it heat treatment and he has an object as good as a forged one (he can make high quality swords using this method).

As for Ginny and Luna... I think that Ginny might have been pushed by Tom Riddle to slowly end her friendships so that there wouldn't be anyone influencing her but Tom, granting him more power over her... I really hope that whatever Tom was doing doesn't cause any lasting damage to her, either to her mind, soul or magic... and I hope Ginny will repair her friendship with Luna.

A really good chapter. You are keeping the character grounded and stable increment of power is really good for him a d with explanations fot the same. Liking the fact that you didn't give him gamer spells as he already have them good use of dungeon as well. This story is a new and far better twist on gamer powers. Read sorcerer ambition for some ideas it ia good read.

i read many gamer fanfic and your version is one of the best. your story have good plot and logic character development. i wish you always have inspiration to write more chapters _.

nahhh why follow the canon this is one of the things you should change, however you looked at it this scene is scripted by dumblrdork and snape and yet you still follow the canon, you've already changed it and stop following the stupid canon scenes. he could burned the fucking snake just like how he burned the pixies. fuck im getting triggered by this stupid scene
