i always liked the theory i read in one fanfic that Lee was a defective clone of Gai discovered in one of Orochimaru's labs after he was exiled.

i was expecting you have Danzo be behind the poisoning. both because Danzo's an asshole like that, and because Hayate's loyal to Sarutobi. him or Orochimaru.

As another reviewer mentioned, the word is not "Lie". I first learned it as "iye", which might help in learning to pronounce it.
