loving this story

I'm liking the way you've been pushing Harry into becoming more ruthless slowly because it has been necessary for him to survive. The last couple of chapters were really great.

Wondering when the romance will start though. Harry & Hermione already have really strong trust & intimacy- after all he's been through this year, she should kiss him. It would be nice to see the girl make the first move for a change.

Really hope you're willing to diverge further from canon for year 5. There's no way in hell this Hermione would abandon Harry at the Dursleys like in canon. And I can't imagine they won't deal with Umbridge differently, too.

Just binged the whole story, really glad I did. This is a really great story so far. Nothing seems unbelievable at all. The changes make sense the butterflies are really flying all over the place. Things should get even more interesting now.

Beyond the changes to canon, I am really enjoying the interaction between Harry and Hermione. I always thought it a shame how she was side lined more in the later books. Seeing them working together as equals, that is truly something to see.

Damn man! This is the best HHr story with a proactive, intelligent Harry who understands that you don't leave enemy at your back and that mercy can only be given by those who are strong - in absolute terms. I loved the characters, loved the interplay between Harry and Hermione, loved the realistic (as much as it can be in a magical story) reaction to feeling helpless and the subsequent anger and rationalization. It's a solid A story, man. I hope you update soon.

Now that's the Hermione I wanted to see. In this chapter, you've displayed the true depth of character that shows who Hermione can be when she's not wrapped up in herself and her desire to be the best. This Hermione is fierce!

Harry didn't toss Hermione's friendship aside for a broom. He was angry because she went to McGonnagal begind his back. You have her doing the very same thing. She went behind Harry's back. Hermione doesn't trust Harry plain and simple. You cannot have a real relationship without who doesn't trust you. Hermione doesn't believe that Harry is capable of mature thought, so any relationship they have is based on her being in control. That's not a healthy relationship. Her apology is not sincere. She's making excuses for her behavior because she wants to be in control on Harry. She sees him as less capable than herself. She's just a controlling nag. I hope you fix that about her.

I like your version of Harry. I am hoping the Flitwick will check with his friends among the Nation (People) and see if he can get Harry emancipated or, at least, recognized as the next Lord Potter. Harry can not go back to the Dursley's no matter what. I think has magic, even without a wand, would not be restrained. Thanks for writing such an entertaining story.
