At the time of this fic maybe it wasn't a genre, but now Daphne has become a massive fanon phenomenon, ice princess, super duper beautiful, cold, yet with the hots for HP... It's cool you had this before it exploded into Fandom. Short, but nice. |
| hp4all chapter 1 . 4/22/2014 A bit on the short side, this one. I am also frustrated with the lack of HP/DG novel-length stories out there. It is not like Gryffindor/Slytherin fics are rare: this site is full of DM/HG excruciatingly long and heavily reviewed stories. Perhaps, writing a story is not a right way to go about the pairing, and a series of vignettes would work better? No need to invent a convoluted plot, century-old marriage contract or a fairy godmother. I do appreciate the effort people put into the build up. Still, all these plots require a leap of faith, and a writer might get straight to the point. Jeconais's HP/DG story comes to mind, where some background is given through flashbacks, but there is no wasted effort on putting the two characters together. Even JK Rowling shipped Harry and Ginny off screen, and who are we to try to outdo her?! |
