Did a reread. Loved the story. Wished that life? faded muse? illness? hadn't stopped your writing. I hope that you are okay, and that someday you will decide that you know what will be the perfect continuation of this story.
So many questions. Who was the person on the Rue deFleurus? Will there be any issues at the Irish cottage? What will Harry do once he is at the Burrow? Will he tell Ron the truth or just a version of it? How will he be when they are all back in school? What is Severus' plan for Harry's future? Will Harry decide to be Cary forever? Will he figure out that he is from a titled family and there will be times when he needs to be a tad more like a Malfoy? Will Sirius get out and be a help or a hindrance? Once Harry grows up a tad, will there be romance? Will he find his magical talents? Will they find out a way to get the horcrux out of his scar? Will they find that the Headmaster was more diabolical than they figured? Any blocks on Harry's magic or mind? Oh, so many questions.

Just once, I'd like to read an AU version of this where Snape violently murders the Dursleys during this chapter.

I really wish you would continue this story. The first part was really good, but didn’t have enough of a conclusion to stand on it’s own. This sequel is great too, but I really wish I knew the end.

Your story is well written and really draws the reader in. I doubt you check your reviews but perhaps if you don’t want to finish this storyand I truly think you should) you would let someone else finish it off.
