After having read some of your other stories, I can say that your writing has improved as you gain more experience. However, your Harry and his relationships are very much a concern...first off, pretty much everyone around him are horrible people, using emotional blackmail constantly, being intrusive in his personal life, treating him in a manner that could be considered emotional abuse...they scold, nag, yell, and whine constantly. Seriously, they are awful, awful people.

As a therapist, I feel that your Harry has many issues...as one migh expect having led the life he has. You take it even further than any other fanfic author I’ve read, though. Your Harry, across all your stories, is entirely dependent on those around him for his self-image and entirety of his ego. It goes far beyond the typical ‘validation’ that many/most people crave or strive for...other people’s opinions are his sole concern, to the point where he does ridiculous things based on simple, short remarks (sometimes misinterpreted at that). Your Harry is someone who would be completely incapable of living in normal society, let alone thrive. He does whatever almost anyone tells him, has no thoughts of his own unless he is told to think a certain way...it’s, well, crazy. He is damn near thoroughly unlikable, making it hard to care about his story arc. Oh, and those ‘friends’...Ron is a piece of crap in canon and most fics, so that’s fine (Harry’s need for validation from that prick is the bigger issue)...Ginny is a self-centered bitch, as she is often portrayed, who doesn’t know or understand Harry but ‘loves’ him, which is so dysfunctional I don’t even know where to begin...but your Hermione takes the cake. Fanfic authors seem to either love or hate her, but you seem to waffle between the extremes, though it is possible you don’t understand human behavior to the point where you think some of the truly odious things that she does are not only forgiveable, but easily forgotten and dropped. She acts like she should get the same type of respect she assigns to Dumbles, but almost always disappoints everyone (well, they should be, but you write them as being fine with her being a bossy, self-centered, opinionated, superior, holier-than-thou twat). There are hardly any likable characters, and even if the reader does start to like one, you have them do terrible things to make us dislike them.
So...work on your characterizations, please. Try thinking about how a character’s actions might make you feel in that situation. Don’t always take the easy way that Harry is so desperate for basic human considerations that he’ll never ever stand up for himself...

this was brilliantly written and the story line was done!

I feel like Harry vascilates too much between duty and apologetic/conciliatory. If he doesn't want controlled, he doesn't want controlled. This is in many of his interactions. He could easily tell Mrs. Weasley in a nice manner that he appreciates her concern but she needs to understand he ISN'T hers.

I feel this could have done with an epilogue but I know it will never get one seeing as the story is 13 years old.

Kari is basically Daphne before Daphne was a well known character (In fanfiction, nothing is known about her in canon).

Your story was excellent, I couldn't stop reading it. The ending scene was so well written, there were tears pouring out the whole time I was reading, and I had to sop quite a few times. Thank you for writing the story.
