Well, this is the wild opopanax. I love that word, lol.

Anyway, my stories will be Harry Potter stories.

Now, to describe the kind of stories I will write. I fully understand that the HP stories are kid stories. Harry is a wimp, letting himself be manipulated by Dumbles and just about everyone else. We see a kid raised in a horrible environment who suddenly finds out that he's a wizard. More, he's expected to save this new world he belongs to. And, what's even more, he's expected to go up against a guy who's got fifty years on him, with all the knowledge that fifty years will bring. Does anyone find that the seventh book is less than ... satisfying? He's supposed to go out there, find these horcruxes (god, I hate that concept), and defeat this guy with the miraculous aid of the Deathly Hallows. An unbeatable wand, a cloak of invisibility, and a resurrection stone. Can you say deus ex machina?

My stories will give Harry a backbone. I absolutely can't stand wimp!Harry.

The current project i'm working on is called Harry potter and the Adversary, which is a Harry Potter/Repairman Jack crossover. Sort of. Most of the characters in RJ will not turn up, however, only the Adversary and possibly The Lady..

I also tend to bash nearly everyone as well, especially the Weasleys. Does anyone else find it funny that Harry falls for Ginny during the year they're studying love potions?

So, that's my plans in a nutshell. Please enjoy and leave feedback if you so desire. Oh and please keep in mind that I'm a slow writer, so updates will be real sporadic, but I will not abandon my stories. I promise.

I just finished a story called You can Have it All, where Harry tells everyone to go screw themselves.

Also is my collection of oneshots. I have a story where Harry is killed before Hogwarts, a story where Albus Dumbledore visits an orphanage to have a conversation with Harry that is eerily similar to that which he had with Tom Riddle. A story where Harry tells Dumbledore "the facts of life," which is sort of a spoof on all the HP/LV fics out there. I have a story where Voldemort finds out that Horcruxes don't work. I also have a story where Harry gets revenge on Ron Weasley for killing his first ever friend.

And last, I have given writing PWP (porn without plot) a try.

A note on any potential pairings I might make. I tend to find little used characters and pair them with Harry. Also, because I'm the kind of guy who doesn't like to do things the ordinary way, most of the girls will be different too. I'll give them unconventional body types, for example. Harry won't be paired with skinny anorexic girls.

That's about it. I'll have the next chapter of Adversary up sometime next week (it's February 26 right now.

Update Sept 27

Ok, a little note on Adversary. I started writing chapter eleven, and it was going to be all about harry's adventures through the veil, with rogue government agents, dark wizards and dimention hopping, but after about twenty thousand words I found the story starting to get away from me. I have an outline of where I want the story to go, and with each paragraph it was going farther and farther from the original ideas; for instance in my outline Harry didn't go through the veil at all..

So I scrapped the thing and decided to pull out the oft-overused deus ex machina and thus this chapter eleven was born. If there is sufficient reader interest, I may write Harry's adventures through multiple dimentions as a separate story, but only after this one is complete, however long that might take. I don't think it's a good idea to have multiple long-term projects on the shelf at the same time. I do write the occasional one-shot, and those get stored in the Realms of the Opopanax story listed here, but I will only do one long story at a time.

That having been said I do have a number of exciting (at least to me) upcoming projects.:

There is the Harry through the veil story I mentioned above, which is, I believe, unlike any other one on this site, or at least I hope it is. You got a preview in chapter ten of the sort of thing that might happen in it.

There is the Flight from Death story I have floating around, which chronicles the life story of Tom Riddle from birth to..whenever. As far as I know, there is no story on this site that does that. The stories I have seen that actually talk about Voldemort are either (A) slash, (B) badly written, (C) abandoned, or (D) all of the above.

And finally, there's my dark Harry story. The same problems I have with the Voldemort stories exist in this genre too. The dark Harry stories are either slash, badly written or abandoned. Or he thinks better of his actions, usually with the aid of the Weasleys and turns into Mr. Fluffy Bunny. My Harry, whether dark or light or gray, will most likely never have anything to do with any Weasleys.

One more thing: my update speed.. I take my time writing, and I try to make chapters at least ten thousand words. Every paragraph is thought out, and I try to make the writing as un-awkward as possible to make the story engaging to the reader. As a result chapters take a while, but I think the product is worth it. If I ever lose interest in a story, it will be taken down, rather than just sittin there abandoned.
