For a story which purely ignites feelings of happiness, joy. Maintains balance between pain, fear, sadness, and joys. Which despite pains makes us wish to re-read and watch HP stories and movies. Some fan fiction writers surely know how to turn that story into pure pain, depression and surely no reading twice! Makes me want to wish that I hadn't read it even once!

very intriguing concept and story. the change of POV to Snape fitted somehow perfectly with the overall tone, it was very dark and you put Harry through a lot of pain. it was really nice to find a story still written before OOTP and the Horcruxes, so still having Sirius around and the see the lengths Harry would go for him and his chance at family are very enlightening. also, I liked how much effort you put into Percy, in most fics he barely gets a mention, but to see his motivation and side for once is very nice too. thank you very much for sharing this story with us!

Loved this story! Couldn’t put it down for days. I will now go check to see if there’s a sequel...

why bold?

Oh... my... God!

I just found this in the last few days and read it through in 48 hours. This story was so brilliantly done. I love stories with protective Sirius. I think it was fabulous to have Harry be a phoenix. I thought the way Voldemort was defeated was very unique. I have read lots of Harry Potter fanfictions and I have never seen one where magic itself judged Voldemort like that, let alone one where Harry was guiding it.

omg i'm sorry i'm many years too late but this story was the best fanfic i've ever read ..got to see everything from snape's perspective it was so thrilling thank you loads :D i think you can make a great author someday

I can't believe this fic has been around for 17 years and I've only just found it! This was so heart wrenching and heart warming and so winderful. You really pulled forth realistic canonness in all the characters. You redeemed Percy even before JKR and allowed all our favorites to continue to be in Harry's life. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I already posted a review for the story but I just had to say, specifically, that I loved your Snape POV chapters! You should consider writing a Severitus story. You have him down as a perfect blend of snark and redeemable flawed character.

I so enjoyed this story. It's very difficult to find a well-written, full length, satisfying Harry Potter story. Thank you so much for yours. You are very talented. I am always particularly interested in what a character is thinking and your psychoanalysis was great. I loved your Snape, Harry, and Sirius in particular. You created memorable characters and memorable scenes. I don't recall ever reading the use of the AK against magic itself. That was very clever. I'm sorry this is at an end. I really loved it. Thank you for writing this. The emotional intelligence with which this was created, every character layers deep, never forgetting their unique realities.

The facts woven so tenderly and thoughtful, it was quite the joy to discover the little ideas.

Certainly worth a read, especially considering that this story is now of age in the wizarding worldHope it gets a nice watch.

This is a bit contrasted by logic gaps in rational behaviour though. They certainly do not need dragons to dispose of bodies, very effectful in the implied imagery, but they do have magic. Also, why did Severus not kill/incapacitate voldemort and the deatheaters when they were stunned, or at least accio all the wands?
The integritas/authenticated evidence/scrolls stuff is underexplained, how is that supposed to work?

I was promised a scene of the twins learning who the Marauder are, but epiloge 3 implied they know and we did not witness!

I don't really enjoy the overdone martyr theme, too many christian tropes. The magical judgement that is called upon is also a huge deus ex machina. And why the killing curse, its super unrelated to that outcome and seems to have been chosen for symbolic reasons only.

Also what was Peters motivation for harry to learn the nature of dark magic? It is implied he knew something, but that makes even less sense.

I loved however that veritaserum and other things had a cost, fanon is hating on canon so much for "why not just vow/veritaserum/pensive" instead of taking the creative constraint and running with it.

Sorry for the rant, I usually don't care too much, take that as you willWell, I hope you still enjoy writing, this had so much insightful bits, more of it is certainly a good thing.

I just have to review midway, the endless wallowing in the dying kid theme is exhausting, it took until chapter 19 for anything to happen.

Not trying to be crass, even processing loss and illness would be better done with a more balanced story.

The huge A/N are comical and could very well be edited out now the story is completed.

The POV changes from sentence to sentence is jarring.

It's not a bad story though, certainly not the usual generic fluff.

I'll keep reading now.
