VashonBeader chapter 21 . 7/5 Thank you for writing and sharing. I think that Pettigrew's punishment is fitting, and unique. Great idea! |
FFFudgeUp chapter 21 . 6/20 Very cool wrap up. Made logical sense to me. Thanks for sharing |
Spidersauce chapter 17 . 6/13 I'm really hoping this doesn't go to a Harry/Hermione romance. They don't fit that well together imo, and in this story it's ever farther off than canon. I believe a relationship should be between equals, and Hermione is simply not Harry's equal in this story. |
Rosa Mundi chapter 21 . 6/3 That was an excellent story. I enjoyed it enough that I read the whole thing in one sitting and now it’s 2:30 in the morning. When I wake up again, I shall have to check out what else you’ve written. |
Guest chapter 21 . 6/2 What a nice story, thanks for writing! |
mumphie chapter 21 . 5/31 I thoroughly enjoyed your story and will see if you have a short follow up as to how the wizarding world looks after Harry is Minister, who he marries, and if that Golden Age is found. |
mumphie chapter 19 . 5/31 Erm...Peter was an accomplice to the deaths of the Potters. He undoubtedly was in other nasty things. Shouldn't he have been sentenced to the full extent of the law? I think the Veil should have been considered for the worst of them. Why palm them aff to the muggles? Their nature will still cause trouble. |
London Knight chapter 21 . 5/7 Bit fluffy towards the end but overall I liked this a lot . May drop in again & read your other stuff soonish . Anyway thank you for a good story - LK signing off . |
London Knight chapter 10 . 5/6 A very nice take on The Graveyard Scene . Certainly in my Top 10 now . No rampaging Rhinoceros , but then you can't have everything ! |
London Knight chapter 7 . 5/6 Poor Luna . She hardly ever gets to go to The Yule Ball ... and when she does , she often gets paired up with a reluctant Ron by Ginny ! This is a good quick read for me & nice & light hearted to . Well done . LK out . |
FotoDi chapter 21 . 3/27 This was pretty cool! Well done. Question: (1) What happened to that evil little political toadie, Delores Jane Umbridge? With Minister Cornelius Oswald Fudge loosing so much political & financial support in the wake of the public debacle, known as the Triwizard Tournament of 1994/5, I cannot but imagine that Fudge did not seriously panicked. As Undersecretary Umbridge had hitched her political “star” to Fudge, she had to be also casting about frantically for any support or advantage. let’s not forget that this vicious political backbencher lacks any scruples and employs blackmail, bribery, bigoted sophistry, lies and deceit in her blatant fear mongering. Umbridge masterfully capitalized on the known ignorance found in Wizarding populace in Britain by targeting other magical races, e.g., Werewolves, Goblins, and even Magicals of mixed heritage. How was she de-fanged if not outright muzzled in your tale? 2) How did Peter Pettigrew qualify for the new Death Eater amnesty program in your story? Pettigrew was never suspected let alone prosecuted for any of his crimes during Voldemort’s 1st Rise to power. Furthermore, Pettigrew was caught red-handed (or should that be silver-handed) by 14-year-old Harry Potter as he facilitated Voldemort’s resurrection in June 1995. How did Pettigrew’s guilt and litany of crimes escape DMLE detection under Veritaserum when he was caught? Didn’t Pettigrew kill Bertha Jorkins in Albania in 1994? Even if the AURORS somehow did not ask Pettigrew the right questions under Veritaserum to elicit his voluntary admission about all his DE crimes spanning from 1978 or 1979 until Voldemort’s Resurrection in 1995, wouldn’t the Amnesty-requisite Mind Healer have detected such obvious instability within Pettigrew’s psyche? I mean he almost immediately broke the conditions of his amnesty by buying an illegal wand and not only torturing scores of muggles but also by endangering the Statute of Secrecy with his choice of a public muggle venue (assuredly monitored by CCTV cameras) as the site for his attack. Just curious... 3) What happened to the Dursleys in your story? 4) What happened to the ghost Professor Binns? 5) What happened to the Death Eaters who were already convicted & incarcerated in Azkaban, e.g., Bellatrix Lestrange nee Black, Antonin Dolohov, Augustus Rookwood, Rabastan & Rodolphus LeStrange, etc. 6) When & How did Harry Potter recover the valuable Basilisk carcass from the Chamber of Secrets in your Story? The Basilisk is demonstrable proof of Harry Potter’s Warrior courage, Loyalty to friends, ability to make Profit, and Evidence of the Superiority of Goblin-forged Weaponry. The huge Basilisk carcass would have inestimable political cachet, especially within the Goblin Nation. Being a subterranean nation of proud Warriors and Bankers, Goblins hold different values than Wizardkind. Beyond the mystique of his status as the “Boy Who Lived” and his unknown whereabouts for the decade following Voldemort’s Defeat on Halloween in 1981, few if any of Harry Potter’s “triumphs” since his return in July 1991 have been revealed publicly. While Headmaster Dumbledore would make public allusions to his favorite Gryffindor’s “good deeds” by assigning Harry Potter inexplicably large point assignments at the end of term feasts, the wily old Politician wouldn’t provide details or explanations. So, Harry Potter’s public persona until mid 1995 is cloudy & complicated by exaggerated rumors. •Potter’s defeat of Quirrelmort in 1992; •Potter’s defeat of the Basilisk & Horcrux in 1993, •Potter’s ability to produce a huge, corporeal Patronus which was able to drive off over 100 voracious Dementors in 1994, •Potter’s involvement with the capture of the Death Eaters (& decapitation of newly resurrected Voldemort) involved in his kidnapping from School during the TriWizard Tournament in March 1995. •Potter’s joint-participation with the other 3 Champions not only to produce a collective win for the Tournament but also to capture the 5 rouge Death Eaters who attacked the hundreds of innocent spectators at the the 3rdTask in June 1995. Midway through 1995 there must have been quite a few beings in the Magical world who were confused about if not doubtful of the Powers ascribed to the much ballyhooed Boy-Who-Lived. Very little proof had ever been provided to back up the BWL hype. Furthermore, Harry Potter’s few public appearances in Diagon Alley. Eternal 1991-4, further confuse the Mythos as he acted contrary to expectations. The Potter Scion was seen as scrawny, poorly dressed, tentative if not perversely shy, not approachable, and either was dismissive or ignorant of Wizard etiquette & customs. In the only public interview Harry Potter had given to date, he told Rita Skeeter of the Daily Prophet that he was an innocent victim. He stated emphatically that he had not entered his name to be in consideration as a School Champion. Worse, Harry was now forced to participate in a deadly contest designed for Adult-age students or loose his magic because of a binding magical contract held by the powerful Goblet of Fire. To many Purebloods and Goblins, being hoodwinked into a magically binding contract makes Harry Potter look foolish, naive, or weak. In your tale, there must have been at least a few goblins who questioned their Leader’s, Elder, staunch support of an enigmatic & unproven youngling. So... by producing the Basilisk, the Sword of Gryffindor, and a few photos from his memory, Harry Potter would become the “darling” of the Goblin Nation. |
Guest chapter 21 . 3/22 good story |
FlowersBite chapter 3 . 1/18 Man everyone that treated me like crap because they thought I put my name in would be on my shit list and I would not be forgiving. I mean they think he put his name in the cup but even if he had like they all wanted to do when you get to the root of their anger it is just that they are pissed that the cup thought him better than them. |
