Whoa! What an emotional rollercoaster ride!
I just loved the ending! You write Quidditch matches really well, it was so exciting!
I also noticed how Hogwarts is a living, sentient thing in your fanfics. Reminds of how the setting is used as a character in most Githic literature.
The thing with the slime was ingenious and I would have never thought that it would at a greater role in the story other than being part of Harry's detention.
I know that the subject matter of the story is hard to deal with and I have to agree with some previous reviews that it was a little overdone. Almost everyone has suffered from sexual abuse but then again it all fit in together in a way and you did put up enough warnings but honestly the Ron and Hermione parts are really hard to read.
I would also suggest an evil Sirius warning. Btw, what happened to Lupin? I expected him to at least have a talk or apologize to Harry for what happened and that he couldn't help him, he just disappeared. Also, what happened to Sirius? Was he kissed? If yes, I would have liked Harry's reaction to it.
I wish you had kept Snape in character or almost in character until the end, he was great at the beginning but I guess Harry deserves a softer Snape as his dad.
And about Hermione, if you ever decide to continue editing this fanfic, how about a suggestion regarding Hermione's mother? In canon both her parents are dentists and given what I read here I would infer that her mother probably dropped out of college or didn't go in the first place since she got married relatively young (Hermione is 15 and her mom was married whe she was supposedly a little older, so I would guess maybe 18?) That would explain why she wants her daughter to succeed academically; she wants her to have the chances she lost. It's just a suggestion.
And I loved how you portrayed Hermione's mind; everything that happened in that chapter was simply genius!

Ron needs to die fast.

Honestly, this fanfiction is disgusting. I'm not saying that sexual assault shouldn't be written about, it should, attention should be brought to everyone's attention- its a real issue. But I am 6 chapters in and I have already come across 6 sexual assaulters. It isn't realistic, its overused, every chapter has someone being raped in some way- even reading as I am, trying to skip those scenes and see how the characters react to trauma, it is almost unbearable.
By making it so overused, you are taking away all the power your original book would have had. You are wonderful at writing, there is no doubting that and I am emotionally attached to Harry, but this entire premise is sickening.
Statistics aside, I can't say you have approached Ron or Percy with any care at all, it's sick.
I hope that one day you look back on what you have written and realise how vile it is to try and read- this kind of book will not help the movement against sexual assault.

I felt murderous and angry at the abuse harry went through and how useless the adult were but watching cute innocent colin get raped by that fucking asshole named Ronald Weasel is taking the fucking cake.

I wish the story had colin being helped by harry more to show the abused helping each other

The story was really dark and had rape overused in my opinion. Although me wishing Ron to die by crucio maybe a bad one.

I am amused that the slime did actually eat Rodney, Percy, and Ron. Interesting story, thanks so much!
