I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I dearly hope that the promised sequel is actually there! I like your characterizations and how you've worked them through growing pains. Hopefully I will be reading the next installment soonest. ;)

The major difference between their childhoods is that Harry never sought revenge for being locked up like a criminal. He sought freedom from his imprisonment and gained a strong dislike for enslavements.

Meanwhile, as an orphan in his time, Kid Tom would have had too much freedom and went in the opposite direction of harry.

So, long story short:

Harry grew up powerless and compassionate.
Tom grew up with power and a mean streak a mile long

It's Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and just Durmstrang Institute with no "of"s after.

This story was recommended by the folks at Harmony and Co on Facebook. It was a nice story given its age and even though it's done and dusted, I certainly hope the author has tightened up and improved his proofreading and editing before posting skills.

A fairly good AU. Harry doesn’t get too much stronger, but he does improve dramatically. My only real complaint is that his behavior is perfect. He becomes a Hermione clone with the power to reform people with a mere lecture. All in all, a decent read with only a few negatives.

honestly all the ominous bullshit is getting on my nerves. if that doesn't eend soon I'll just give up the story. a writer should be able to make an interesting story without throwing drama in left and right. honestly
