Author has written 2 stories for Halo, Naruto, and Bleach. Name: I cannot believe how cliche and cringe I used to be. Hobbies: Fanfiction, of course. Taking long walks. Dog walking, writing in general. Favorite Games: Rome Total War - I still love this 'ol game. Not too happy with Rome 2 Total War. - Also play Barbarian Invasion expansion. Medieval 2 Total War - Kingdoms Expansion. Must admit, I am not as interested in games. Time sink and money waster. I still hold on to the classics. Dark Souls, however, has won me over as the game. Now my only problem is obtaining a PS4 for DSII and DSIII. Quotes That Hold Meaning to Me "I continue to believe that this world has no ultimate meaning. But I know that something in it has a meaning and that is man, because he is the only creature to insist on having one" - Albert Camus. Resistance, Rebellion, and Death. "Life can only be understood backwards; but it also must be lived forwards" - Soren Kierkegaard About Myself: Ascended to Higher Dimensions as an energy being. Try me, folks. Fave Movies: October Sky Sword of the Stranger Hamlet Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy Current Book Reading: Once and Future King - I love this book, I'm into part two of the story. I have to say, it's quickly earning my favorite spot. Hadrian - Anthony Everitt is a historian I read often. His book on Cicero was fun and I want to read Augustus as well. I'm hoping to get to a several hundred page book on Caesar at some point. Roman history is one of my favorite eras of all time. TV Series Granada Series Sherlock Holmes, starring Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke. As much as I love the modern Sherlock, I prefer the portrayal by Jeremy Brett moreso, he captured the very essence of Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock is a crap mess of a series, it failed the narrative overall and the characterization of Holmes. So many plot holes and failures that it'd take a two hour long video essay to explain why. Can't believe I wasted time on this piece, was once a devoted fan. Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero - Mages fighting one another using servants for an omnipotent wishing device, what's not to like here folks? Philosophy, ideology, ethics and morality. Shirou is not a paste and copy character, he is a traumatized survivor, scarred so deeply that he is a blank slate of a person. He walked through fire, metal and stone, listening to the screams of the dead and dying, being completely unable to help anyone but survive which he probably hates himself for. My Musings I am currently writing up a new story. I lost a lot of my old drive for the stories below. It does not look like I will come back to them any time soon, more out of embarrassment than anything. I've spent a lot of years writing down ideas, snippets and pieces that I hope to use. More recently, there is one that has held my mind and will not let go. I cannot say when it will come out. I at least want to write a first draft and do brainstorming and beta-reading until it is proper and ready. Embittered Truth, FemIchigo - http:///gallery/?q=Femichigo#/d4fmn6r All credit for the FemaleIchigo drawing goes to Alasse-Tasartir of Deviantart. She gave me permission to use the said pic. Chapter Progression/Story Opinion. The Burdens We Carry - Decided to change the title and summary. I didn't particularly like my first version of it. On a brighter note, I do plan to continue this story. Perhaps over my winter break I can update it a bit and get things back on track. There were a few concepts and ideas that came to me late in the game, setting me back on my writing schedule. And Yes, I do not have a writing schedule. Going to have to fix that... Anyway, This will get completed since it's the first story I've ever felt that meant the themes I'm trying to reach with it. Full-time employee. Looking back from my start: I am quite lucky to be happy where I am, few people are as content with life, in regards to finding fulfilling work. |
