Author has written 13 stories for RWBY, Fate/stay night, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Resident Evil, Tom and Jerry, Green Lantern, Attack on Titan/進撃の巨人, Pokémon, Akame ga Kiru/アカメが斬る, Youjo Senki: Saga of Tanya the Evil, and Re:Zero. Hello, my name is Brandocko. I’m a Fanfic writer in my free time and have been doing so for the last few years. The way I write is very dialogue oriented with most of my current chapters running about 3,000 words per. I do a lot of crossover stuff, it is just something that I really like to invasion when I write. Most of my stuff is either: where one series travel to the other, or one series is intertwined with the other’s cannon. A couple of favorites of mine to close out the intro section of the profile before I talk a little on the stories: My Favorite Game is Resident Evil 4, Favorite TV Show is Scrubs, Favorite Cartoon is Samurai Jack, Favorite Anime is Re: Zero, Favorite Manga is tied at School Live and Goblin Slayer, Favorite Light Novel is Spice and Wolf, Favorite Yu-Gi-Oh series is 5D’s (first half) with Crow as my favorite character, and Favorite Fate series is the Grand Order game with Mordred as my favorite character. (Oh, my profile is the character I made in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, a Buu-girl called Peppermint. She is part of a story I have not written yet, but I do like that drawing I got commissioned of her a lot, so it is my profile pic). My Rules of Writing (Not always my words, but rules that I agree with) 1. Storytelling is not data. Even in a crossover fight, at the end of the day, I pick who wins for the sake of the story. 2. Power levels don’t matter in detail, only as context. If he/she is written strong, that’s it, the number doesn’t matter. 3. Foreshadowing is not character development. It does not justify a character going 180 degrees in motivations. 4. Worldbuilding is told with the story. Not outside of the series, because then it’s not in the world. 5. Fanfiction is not characterization. I write based on my view of the original series, wiki, or TV Tropes data on the characters I use. Not off other fanfic writers’ interpretations of the characters. When I change it is when I do so for comedy/context prepossess. 6. A different context can change a character and make them act differently, it is not a OOC moment if they have never been in the situation before and have to adapt based on their best judgement. 7. I write to have fun, not out of spite. I write crossovers because of the interesting possibilities that can happen, not to prove which series is better. 8. I call a character by their name and their simple title. 9. Please leave a review, it motivates me to write more. I'm okay with negative criticism, but don't make your review one complaint of the chapter. I read and respond to every review I can, I am a person who wants to hear what people say. 10. Have a nice day. Regarding some of my stories: Kill the World of Remnant was my first work. It is a little rough around the edges, but still one of my favorites. It is an Akame Ga Kill and RWBY, there is a lot of character deaths are in them. Duel Academy’s New Students is different Yu-Gi-Oh series crossovers with RWBY, where they are duel heavy and focus on character development as the driving force. They have RWBY characters using a deck I made based on the card game. I am currently doing the second season in my own style, which has been a lot of fun. Death and Demos is a Resident Evil and RWBY crossover one-shot with Roman and Neo getting a Tyrant and use it on Team RWBY. Needless to say, it doesn't have a happy ending. Also in that story is another one-shot of the Team RWBY playing the RE2: Remake Demo. I added to both series with release of RE3: Remake. Black and Blond is a one-shot of Blake and Yang fighting Annie and Mikasa from Attack on Titan. I made that to celebrate season three and may come back to it when season four comes out. Adventures in Gamindustri is a crossover with RWBY and the Hyperdimension Neptunia series. It's a fun stupid story I made to make myself laugh at what I could come up with while writing. Rivalry Beyond Words is a one-shot with a few rwby characters interacting with Tom, Jerry, and Spike. So, it has a lot of cartoon slapstick. Color Theory is an alternate outcome to RWBY V3 events with the characters discovering the nine lantern rings. Sheer Madness, a Youjo Senki and RWBY crossover that takes a dark tone to its storytelling. It is one of my most popular and well-received stories. Fates Collide is my current and longest running Fanfic. It is an RWBY crossover with a massive amount of Fate characters in a hypothetical part of the world of Remnant. It also is a Fanfic that has a Tv Tropes page if you wish to look at it, I recommend it if you want to catch up quickly on the events. The sequel is Lost to Dust, which is set a year later with me implementing more characters from both series. I like to say it also has me fix a lot of the issue I had in the first story and it is my current weekly series. Re: Neo is a sort of Re: Zero crossover with rwby were Neo has a Subaru-like power upon seeing Roman's cannon death. The story is her trying different ways to save him from this terrible fate. It's very dark at times, but combines by favorite charecter with my favorite aspect of my favorite anime. Now, you can tell I write a lot with RWBY. However, I do not like the series the way you may think. I enjoyed the first two volumes but dropped watching the show after the third. The direction the story went was not the one I wanted to watch. I do not think it was ruined, but it was not something I found enjoyment out of anymore. Most of my fanfics are set in those first three volumes with some having alternate endings to the canon events of the third. I know what happens later in the cannon series, but that is due to researching secondary sources for my fanfic’s context. RT in general is not a company I support anymore; I just do not agree with the mentality and actions of their higher-ups. I write with RWBY characters because I like seeing them on cool adventures, particularly crossovers. I like to explore things I wish the show would have done or things the show could not do. I enjoy the series for its other fan works, the official RWBY manga, and even Neo being in BBTAG. Speaking of Neo, she is still one of my all-time favorite characters in animation. She is just everything I define about a fantastic anime character, one who I immediately liked upon seeing her introduction. So, I do not hate RWBY, but I do not like it enough to accept the aspects I do not agree with. Rather than constantly hoard that feeling until it turns to anger and vent out, I started writing fanfics. This has been a fun pastime for me over the past few years, one that I hope to continue for more to come. I just wanted to clear this up for people who were wondering about my opinion on the series. |
