Message about my Harry Potter fanfictions, past, present and futures: a gold coin, no matters the alloy, has a value much superior to the five pounds a Galleon is supposed to be exchanged in the Harry Potter books. So, in my fanfictions the 5GBP=1Galleon exchange rate will not be. In my stories the exchange rate is as follows:

Fanfic Challenge: Mahora Sentai Baka Rangers

We all know that Akamatsu parodied the Super Sentai. So, why don't make a series of them?

Rules:

1)the Baka Rangers are the same five from the series. Yue/Baka Black shall be the leader, with a collapsible GIANT book as special weapon. Asuna/Baka Red will keep her magic cancelling powers only when morphed, and her special weapon shall be her giant sword. Kaede/Baka Blue shall keep her ninja abilities and her giant shuriken shall be her special weapon. Ku Fei/Baka Yellow shall have twin jian swords as special weapons and shall keep her martial arts abilities. Makie shall keep her agility and her main weapon shall be her ribbon. Makie shall often fail to finish her phrase in the presentation sequence for some ridicolous reason.

2)Jack Rakan is the embarassing mentor, with Takamichi and Albireo Imma as assistants. They with Nagi, Arica and Filius Zect were once the Baka Rangers against Fate.

3)Negi is to be protected, for he's necessary for the villains master plan. He's still Nagi's son and Nekane's cousin, but will have two bigger sisters in Anya and Chao.

4)Chao will be the main enemy, at least in the beginning, and her objective is take over the world for some ridicolous reason. Be free to redeem her or replace with someone else after the McDowell Saga. You may also keep her as main villain, if you wish.

5)The McDowell Saga will be when Evangeline will debut (she may appear in teaser appearances) as the sixth Baka Ranger. It will comprise at least two chapters searching for her. As the sixth and most powerful ranger is prophetized to be the granddaughter of the chief of Clan McDowell (yes, it actually exists), the Baka Rangers and the villains will search for her in Garthland, where the clan has its seat, only to find out that the current chief Fergus Day Hort McDowell and his descendants now live in Canada. Evangeline will initially be reluctant to join as she doesn't want to wear spandex and act as an idiot, but will join for the one of her special powers.

6)Evangeline's powers after joining the Baka Rangers shall be her full power from the original series, and the ability to become adult and sexy will be the reason to join the Baka Rangers. She shall not have a special weapon.

7)Chachamaru will initially be Chao's main lieutenant, with Chachazero as assistant. Both of them will be forced to become Evangeline's maids after the McDowell saga.

8)All Baka Rangers will have their combinable robots. Feel free to invent them.

9)Mana shall often appear and fight. She'll be on the rangers' side when some of the villain plans will provoke her and on the villains' side when they hire her for a mission.

10)Write a good story.

Naruto fanfic pet peeves

Everybody has something he doesn't like in Naruto fanfics. Here's mine.

Note: I read many fanfic containing one or more of these, but that's because the author is good. No sense into not reading something good just for a piece of it.

1)Mizuki still alive: I know he was imprisoned in the anime, but those filler episodes make no sense at all. Konoha nin are ruthless military assassins (think a mix between Navy SEAL, an elite sniper capable to kill a man from a mile and half and James Bond. That's a Konoha nin) from a society much more violent than our own, and given that Mizuki committed many crimes punished with hanging or shooting in many real world militaries (spionage TWICE, attempted murder of a fellow soldier with the same rank and of a subordinate, and if I had more time I'd list more) logic dictates he was publicily executed, possibly in a gruesome way. And don't go 'Konoha nin are the good guys, they have no death penalty for that', for they're good guys compared to the Bloody Mist (see Zabuza genin test), and they still come from a feudal Japan-like society.

2)Sasuke The Asshole before meeting Orochimaru: in the canon, the Sasuke pre-Forest of Death was just emo but still appreciable. Heck, he even took Haku's attack while he knew it was meant for Naruto! THEN Orochimaru came to start screwing up with his brain, and Sasuke started being an asshole. And he still took a while to become a complete asshole.

3)Orochipedo: seriously, why? I know that Orochimaru talks of Sasuke like he was a pedophile, but he also hit on Anko while she was trying to kill him, and in both cases he was talking about their power. My guess? He just loves being creepy. There's people like that, I am one.

4)Kakashi's favoritism: the only evidence about that is that he trained Sasuke to fight Gaara (a confirmed psycho with immense offensive power and an almost invincible defense) and told Naruto to train with Ebisu to fight Neji (a fatalistic douchebag who favored disabling his foes and was not supposed to know what he knew), and that is disproven when Kakashi ask Jiraya to do the job. Apart the meeting with Jiraya, there's also logic to prove he was not making favoritism: Sasuke had a vastly superior skill and had to fight Gaara in his psycho times and got exactly what he needed to do the job (or what was supposed to do the job), while Naruto was physically stronger and durable than Sasuke but was quite shitty in the basis, exactly what Ebisu is supposed to be a specialist teacher of.

5)Pervy Kiba: in some stories Kiba is shown as a pervert trying to force himself on Hinata. I find that rarely, but I find it very annoying. Why? For two reasons: first, it's justified as Kiba acting like a dog, and everybody who actually has or had a dog know that male dogs are sexually inactive unless being near a heating female. Kiba often acts like a dog, but that's more in his loyalty and actions near an alpha (he didn't dare to make a certain remark near his mother, but with Naruto and other same-ranked ninjas he did worse remarks. It looks like a dog submitting to their alpha while finding such alpha annoying, to me); second, in the manga he actually tried to play matchmaker between Hinata and Naruto once. Yes, I'm not joking. After all, Hinata doesn't faint so much in the manga, that "Hinata, why do you always faint near Naruto?!" thing sounds like an attempt to have Naruto notice about her.

I don't read many Kim Possible fanfics. Why? Well, I'm a perfectionist, and while I can get around many things for a good plot, I require it being believable. And authors tend to forget some facts.
1)The universe of Kim Possible is the very same of the Lilo & Stitch franchise and the animated series American Dragon: Jake Long. Yes, they are, thanks to a couple episodes in Lilo & Stitch: The Series: the second season episode Rufus features Drakken kidnapping Stitch for Hamsterville, Kim, Ron and Rufus joining Lilo & co. in the rescue and Rufus being mistaken for Experiment 607 (a Rufus lookalike whose function is destroying the very fabric of space and time), and the third season episode Morpholomew features Jake Long, Luong Lao Shi and Fu Dog coming to Kaua'i to investigate on the many uncontrolled magical creatures of the island (actually Jumba experiments). There're other crossovers thanks to Lilo & Stitch, but I didn't caught them. And while this doesn't stop me from reading KP fanfics, I find the absence of these crossovers VERY annoying. I'll have to fix that, personally.
2)That's for all the Ron haters: Ron ADORES Kim, more than anything else, even before they got together, as evidenced in the second season episode The Full Monkey (when he believed Kim had become a monkey, Ron finally overcame his fear for monkeys once and for all so to remain with his best friend). Simply put, the only one way for them actually fighting each other is having some external influence manipulating them, as seen in The Twin Factor (Kim was controlled by Drakken thanks to Cyrus Bortel's mind-control chip and tried to kill him before the Tweebs broke the mind control), Bad Boy (Ron was evil because of the Attitudinator and Kim was in his way to steal the world supply of Nacos. What do you expect a self-respecting supervillain to do?), Emotion Sickness (Kim was under the influence of Cyrus Bortel's Moodulator and had continuous mood swings, and when the device made her homicidal, guess who was her target?), Ill Suited (while Kim was VERY enraged with Ron, it took Ron wearing the battlesuit and Dementor hacking it for them to actually fight. And Ron still managed to keep the battlesuit from harming Kim) and Stop Team Go (the modified Attitudinator made Ron evil again, and Ron's evil alter ego decided to take his revenge by transforming Kim into his evil sidekick). Given that those are the ONLY istances of Kim and Ron fighting in any was that is not the one of best friends or lovers, and that Ron overcame his worst fear when Kim BECAME it, can you find a credible way to make Ron hate Kim, or being a jerk with her?
3)Shego is NOT Kim's most dangerous for. I know that Rufus 3000 and Joss said so, but they were wrong: for all the danger the Supreme One incarnation of Shego posed, she's just sixth, as our favourite villain doesn't have the resources nor the organizing abilities to be more dangerous. Here follows the more dangerous villain: fifth is Monkey Fist in his last appearance 'alive': between his other resources, his organizing abilities (and you need a lot of it to have monkey ninjas as effective henchmen) and Yono's power, he was way more dangerous than Shego; fourth is Señor Senior Senior: I know it may seem strange, given his minor role as a villain, but being a villain is just an hobby for him, if he ever got serious, his resources and personal abilities (intellectual and physical) would grant him a swift victory over poor Kim (see the episode Triple S to see Señor fighting seriously and outsmarting and outfighting Kim while having no wealth and related resources. If Ron hadn't crashed in him, he would have escaped as a winner); third is Doctor Drakken: in spite of his total lack of common sense, he still has enormous technological abilities, no shame in 'outsourcing' and, when he actually try, he can outsmart Kim (do you remember that time he had Kim stealing from Demetor for him TWICE?), and he definitely proved it in So the Drama (he had actually defeated Kim and crushed her spirit, and if Ron wasn't there to get her back together he would have won); Second is Warhok: being incredibly strong and having access to an immense robot army, he was quite dangerous, on par or superior to Drakken at his most dangerous; And first is Zorpox the Conqueror, Ron's evil alter ego: we have a supervillain with common sense, technological abilities rivaling Drakken, great genious and the Mystical Monkey Power, can you top that without bringing in Darth Vader, Gihren Zabi, Queen Beryl or better?
