Damn, that was good. You truly have a gift in bringing out the humanity in a character, Good Show.

As usual for your efforts, excellent. I can see why you held on to this story for use as part of something larger, but it works so well by itself too. And if you ever do craft a story in which this would fit, I think you should go ahead and use it.

A really good episode of Shego slice-of-life. I'd like to get to know the background story surrounding this. I believe Shego's living in an open homosexual relationship now (perhaps with Kim), due to the insult "Fag" that's hurled at her ... Looking forward to your next work!

Great stuff. Wondered how you could end it as I was reading the eulogy. I was done so well I feared a lame ending. And then you raised the bar higher with the protesters. I wish idiots actually listened to any sort of reason. The problem is that the gene/lack-of-intellect that made them idiots in the first place often keeps them from even self-preservation instincts. (And while a large funeral pyre might have been satisfying on one level it was not what you wanted.) Good ending. Give the last word to the dead guy.

Good old Shego. I feel you captured her character and her tense relationship with her brother perfectly. But still... People protesting HEGO's funeral?! What are their hearts made of, mud?

Like I said on The Haven, great read, and powerful. A part of me wonders what could kill Hego, but it's also good that you didn't delve into that, just letting us assume it was in the line of his Super Hero duties. Thank you for writing this.

Loved the way Shego reacted to those haters, she really did love her brother in her own way and the feeling was mutual.
