Ron. Was not. Jealous. of Harry.

Harry was AFRAID of that, because Harry is afraid that EVERYONE is like the Dursleys- spiteful and jealous.

But that's HARRY'S problem, not RON'S.

It's RON who's always there with the 'Attaboys' when Harry or Hermione do well. Yes, he thinks Hermione's mental for how obsessed she is with grades (Big hint, Hermionephiles, she IS. She was more worried about being expelled than being KILLED, and thought the best use for a TIME MACHINE was to DO MORE HOMEWORK.) But he's also always there praising her and saying how she's the smartest of the lot of them. He sees Harry blew the doors off with their grades, and just pats him on the back. (and BTW, Ron was taking NEWT level classes, including potions- so he was pulling at least a B average. Not blindingly stellar but nothing to sneeze at. Ron's not dumb.)

He's something lost on most readers: POOR BUT PROUD. He hates being poor and feels guilty when he thinks he can't pull his own weight. That's why he got so upset when he realized he'd "repaid" Harry at the World Cup with leprechaun gold.

And to top it off he's surrounded by swots and snots and pedigreed princes who have trust funds the size of the GDP of Bolivia- and who routinely mock him for being poor and wearing hand me down everythings.

He wasn't jealous of the Triwizard cup either- he was mad because he believed (like every OTHER person in the damn castle) that his best friend, who's got a world-class reputation for breaking rules like they were candy canes, managed to break another rule ***and left Ron out.***

Oh, and they damn well knew what they were doing giving Ron that badge. Hermione is a prissy, uptight rules Nazi given the single worst thing in the world for her- authority and power- and she would have been a screaming festering fiery pain in the ass for every student in Gryffindor, ***were it not for the counterbalance of laid-back and informal Ron Weasley.***

1-10 are kind of prologe where this chap is how things going depend on what happening in the background ,

[Everyone in the house thinks you and Remus are having a torrid affair. I was kind of looking forward to being godfather to your adopted babies actually. And Tonks' crush has transferred from Remus to Kingsley now."

Which had made a lot of sense really, Kingsley was a brilliant wizard with a respectable future ahead of him whereas Remus was...great but not exactly crush material. Him and Sirius with their history made a lot more sense than Tonks and Remus.]

*looks at own (fictional) crushes* They're all a hot mess. Crushes don't follow logic but emotions.
And two people knowing each other for ages doesn't mean they'd want to be in a relationship.

All in all your fanfic raises some good points. Harry does seem a bit like a bitch at times and you slide into bashing at times but I've read worse cases.
Please remember that the students including the trio are either preteen and have no clue how the world works or teens who'se brains are, according to science, pretty much closed for maintainance. Because you seem to demand of them to think like fully matured adults who had been raised to be innovators, which would have been discuraged in the magical world.

YES! This is the type of HP story I've always wanted (so long as Ron isn't bashed, ofc). Please continue this. :D
