Corwyn chapter 6 . 7/15/2019 I've enjoyed this story as well. I'm glad your father shared his talents with us. |
PineNutPesto chapter 6 . 5/26/2019 Rest in peace, Larry Huss. Your work remains behind to let us all know what an excellent and creative mind the human race has lost. |
Guest chapter 2 . 6/27/2018 Didn't get through much of this one. Why would Hermione need a cane? They can heal all non-dark wounds, and plenty of curse wounds too. They can even regrow bones from scratch, as happened with Harry. Being maimed by blunt physical force, even by a troll, wouldn't be nearly enough to make the damage resistant to being healed permanently. The death eaters actually being under some kind of mind control could be interesting, but kinda feels like whitewashing what they did. Considering how close malfoy got to Harry, and the fact that yes there actually are people who would do him harm, you are only making Dumbledore seem completely responsible and in the right. Malfoy being bad at cooling charms without further explanation was pretty ridiculous. The man can use unforgiveables, he can do a simple schoolyard charm. Wizards being worse at delivering children makes me wonder how that could actually be possible. They could literally slash her open, pull out the baby, and then heal her. Or transfigured things to make the birth easy. Or use charms. Hell, they'd likely have dozens of charms specifically for this purpose, considering all HP spells are pretty specific and tailor made to purpose. Now if you'd come up with something like the mothers accidental magic at this stressful and magically significant moment interfering, that could be something, though it would rule out muggles helping since they'd be turned into frogs or blasted away or whatever. Not to mention that Wizardkind would have come up with something, as they always do. People forget that HP wizards advance and invent and improve new spells, enchantments, potions etc all the time. New and better broomsticks come out just about every year, after all. Luna's mother died trying to create a new spell, so it's not exactly safe, but progress is made all the time. Flight is only a handful of centuries old, baring bird animagus, cushioning charms are even more recent, a top-theft spells are invented to cope with more modern unlocking spells, even Snape invented a few things recently. New healing spells and potions are a thing. Slughorn collects and socialises with celebrities, people of importance, and those who create new advances. |
Jarreas chapter 3 . 5/23/2017 You know, this is one of the most realistic Fenrir deaths I've come across. My congratulations! It just goes to show that A) magic is insanely OP, and B) never let a wizard get off the first shot - if he's even halfway competent, you lose. |
moon so bright chapter 6 . 11/6/2016 May he rest in peace, and continue to weave tales in the hereafter. |

thepkrmgc chapter 1 . 7/6/2016 yay for the power of a pragmatic villain, self interest: properly applied, can do more good then outright heroism |
Taly-chan chapter 6 . 2/28/2016 Oh, man! I'm so sorry. I admire the amount of love you show in taking the time to post this. My deepest condolences. |
timunderwood9 chapter 3 . 2/11/2016 Odd I somehow never read Mosaic. It is quite entertaining and touching. Larry Huss was always one of my favorite fan fic authors. Consistently solid high quality stories, and a clever use of voice and way of twisting the setting. I know the first story by him I read was Remus Lupin, PI as part of my first round of reading HP fanfic. It struck me mainly for the very clever voice and the use of an approach that was original and which I hadn't seen before. At least a year later when I reading Naruto ff I randomly clicked on A Teacher's Glory in someone's favorite list. It was a hilarious concept, and Anko is a favorite character when used right. After reading through what had been posted till that point I was thrilled to look at the profile page and realize that the same person had also written Remus Lupin PI. Since then I had an author follow on Larry's stories, and always was happy when a new chapter showed up. He is missed. |
zerosumgame chapter 6 . 2/10/2016 I'm one of those people who never get around to sending feedback. Times like this make me regret that. ' work has been a joy and a privilege to read. While my regret at his passing is trivial in comparison to his family and friends, he will be missed here as well. My condolences for your loss, and my thanks for leaving his work available. |

Tork01 chapter 6 . 2/1/2016 My condolences on your loss. Remus Lupin PI is one of my top ten favorite fics, and one I re-read every so often. Our community is getting smaller, and every loss is missed. |
