Salutations!

I've been reading fanfiction on this site for--gosh, years now, so I decided it was time to post some of my own.

I'm female, American, and proudly Jewish. I am a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock Holmes, The Twilight Zone Original Series, Supernatural, Ink, The Phantom Tollbooth, Star Wars, The Stormlight Archive, The Night Circus, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, xxxHolic, Dengeki Daisy, and other titles too numerous to list.

I love to read, and love to read fanfiction. One thing, though, that bothers me immensely is bad grammar and word usage. How many would-have-been-good stories have I read that have been utterly ruined by poor usage? If you're going to write in the language, please, please, write well in the language. Have mercy on us all! Proofread your work! I'm very willing to beta-read the work of others. Please PM me if you're interested, or see my beta-reader page.

It's probably not fair to single out a particular fandom, but I'm going to do it anyway, so bear with me, please. I'm not a fan of Twilight, because (a) there's next to no lore involved, which is really your only remotely factual resource if you're writing about legendary creatures, and (b) the love story aspect makes me itch. It seems sort of like falling in love with your own helicopter parent. That said, I'm going to publish at least one Twilight story, because the opportunity was there. Fanfiction is there for the enjoyment of the writer and the readers, so I'm not going to let my prejudices stand in my way.

I'm mostly done with my raving now. Hope everyone enjoys my work! Reviews are welcome, as are PMs and constructive criticism. Flames, however, will be torn into little tiny pieces and flushed down the toilet while I sing "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General" and sip green tea with my pinkie up.

Oh, and before I forget, I'd like to put a general disclaimer here for all my stories. I don't own the copyrights to anything--obviously, as this is fanfiction--and write for pleasure alone and not for profit.
