Hey there. I'm way behind on your stuff again. I still haven't caught up on your Halloween fic, and I know you've posted several since then. But I haven't quit on you, I promise! Just real life was super busy until mid-Nov and then I promptly got sick. Been fighting a nasty cough ever since.

But I was searching for something and somehow this fic randomly came up. Seeing it was by you, of course I clicked on it. I don't think I'd ever read it before, but I very much enjoyed it. I'm so glad Arthur finally came to his senses, and that the potion didn't permanently hurt Merlin. I also really enjoyed a version of events where Arthur was not as oblivious as the show made him out to be. It actually felt more natural and gave me more faith in Arthur and Merlin's destiny.

Thanks for another wonderful story! Promise I'll catch up on all of them eventually.

I love stories like this where Merlin tries to compromise with Arthur about judgement and ends up getting hurt, making Arthur realize the gravity of his mistake. It was interesting to see this happen so early in their relationship, too!

you'd really think Arthur would know the side effects from Gaius Before making Merlin take that. He really didn't think that through

now why didn't Gaius just slip him a placebo regardless. He knew Merlin was magic not just a user of magic. Of course the potion would rub his life out of existence. I'm furious at Gaius. I can understand Kilgharrah's opinion of him now. Stand by and let people suffer through his inaction. tsk.

You added so much more depth in the scene in the Council Room.

You know, I shouldn't be amazed anymore that you can take an offhand comment from the show-a single line-and whip it up into an incredible story like this. I'm in awe.
