Author has written 3 stories for Once Upon a Time, Doctor Who, and Supernatural. First off, WARNING: ALL MY STORIES ARE T - M RATED. THEY ARE RATED FOR A REASON, AND WILL CONTAIN EXPLICIT REFERENCES TO SEX, VIOLENCE AND DRUGS. If you are underage or traumatised in any way, then DO NOT read these stories. I do not wish to hurt anyone by this, while I cannot physically stop you, I WILL give you fair warning.
You can call me Lis. My interests include Doctor Who, Merlin, Castle, Once Upon A Time, Xmen, Sherlock and Thor. I'm a big fan of whump, hurt/comfort, angst and drama. That will be what most of these stories consist of, although I might put in the occasional fluff drabble because, well, who can resist? Serious bit: I'm sexuality blind, so expect to find slash and heterosexual couples in my stories. And I'd like to just briefly say a quick word on whump etc. Just because I write about violence and abuse does not mean I encourage it in any shape or form. Quite the opposite, I actively and whole heartedly discourage it. As a matter of fact, one of the main reasons I write about these things is that I think the struggle of those faced with abuse is both heroic and severely underrated thanks to societal taboo. I also find personally, that to accentuate, illustrate and 'prove' a villain's malevolence to a reader it is necessary not to confine them to the occasional slap on the wrist. They are villains, not naughty children, and cannot be taken seriously if they are not a serious threat. Not only this, but I believe it is insulting to a mature reader to skitter away from graphic content, because they will and do come across it in their everyday lives. For me, personally, to write about a serious emotional struggle without a serious emotional cause is both illogical and cheap. This is not to say that visceral writing is necessary for writing to have substance, nor is it meant to insult any fans of young adult or 'gentler' areas of fiction. It is simply to suggest that this kind of writing also has it's place. End of serious bit Now the serious part is out of the way; on my fangirl giggly side, I love to imagine characters showing more emotion than they would do in canon because of extraordinary situations. I think that our ability to comfort one another and empathise is one of our most lovable attributes as a species, and that terrible situations can create beautiful things in response; that conflict can be inspirational when on the side of the 'good guys'. Here are my personal favorite pairings. - Sherlock/John -Sherlock/Lestrade -Mycroft/Lestrade -Merlin/Morgana -Merlin/Arthur -Merlin/ Gwaine -Charles/Erik -Hank/Alex S -Loki/Tony - 10/Master -10/Rose - 10/Donna - 11/Amy - 11/Rory - Javier.E/ Kevin. In the mean time, enjoy the whump! |
