I am very glad you wrote this story, because now I don't have to. This same plot came to my mind a few months back, and I have thought a decent amount about how I would write it. But it's also been years since I last wrote anything, so the chances of anything coming from my ideas were never very good. And your writing is much better than mine would have been anyway.

So thank you for letting me enjoy this story without having to work for it myself. I was grinning like crazy the whole time I was reading.

My only disappointment is, of course, that the story is over already. I hadn't noticed that this story was marked complete until I had finished it, so I was hoping this story would continue through the major events of the books, with Hedwig continuing to help solve all of Harry's problems, much to everyone's confusion and eventual acceptance.
And then she'd probably off Voldemort on her own in book four or something.

Anyway, I really hope you do decide to continue this story someday.

I snorted with laughter at Hedwig thinking of Sirius as the Adult-Child who always smelled like dog.
I wonder how baby Harry is going to react to Hedwig grooming his hair.
AW! at Hedwig calling (or thinking of) baby Harry (as) a human-hatchling.
AW! at baby Harry gurgling at Hedwig and reaching out to pet her feathers.
Her Boy's Sire, The Wolfish One and Her Boy's Hatcher all made me laugh.
I loved the alliteration in "still smacking some sense".
Hedwig referring to Dumbles as "Funny Smellnig Old Coot" made me snort with laughter.
Hedwig is far more tactful than I will ever be by referring to the Dursleys as the "Unpleasant People"'.
Hedwig attacking Padfoot was SO funny.
Poor Hedwig, having to stay a soft, cuddly toy for so many hours each day and not being able to take revenge on the dreadful Dursleys for how they are treating Harry.
Well done, Hedwig!
Way to go, Hedwig, at getting an IMO wonderful clue about where you and Harry can go instead of back to the dreadful Dursleys from that woman rearranging books.
Yay! at Harry, Hedwig and Hermione meeting the Patils instead of the Weasleys.
Yay! for prof. McGonagall letting/permitting Hedwig live in the dorms with Harry.

This is absolutely lovely. It's such a unique idea! I've never read an animal time-traveling fic before, and Hedwig is absolutely the most responsible animal to choose by far. Brilliant story!

I love how you devised "owlish" words for all the elements of human life; hatcher, hatchling, stern cat educator, and old coot, which I definitely agree with as a good 'handle' for Dumbledore. He was, and deserves that title, IMO. I'd love for you to write back story for how Hedwig encountered Harry in an earlier life; if I'm interpreting your nuance correctly. The way you described Lily was perfect. All in all, reading this story on a rainy afternoon in the middle of the Covid-19 dilemma was a wonderfully entertaining distraction! I'm off to read more of your stories!

Well I for one would love to see this continue. It is a really unique idea to have the whole time travel trope done from the perspective of Hedwig. I would really enjoying seeing how Hedwig attempts to protect Harry through the years at Hogwarts and coming up with interesting ways to warn or help Harry when she herself is just and owl. All in all 10/10 would rate 5 stars
