What an underrated character honestly. Never thought about whether other teachers discovered remus’ secret. Love the story tho

What a beautiful story!

I really like your Flitwick. I especially like that he is observing his students and is ready to provide the necessary help. Your teachers are generally very supportive, JK didn't pay much attention to this and Remus is perhaps the only exception. But I like supportive teachers and I don't care whether this was true in canon. And Flitwick worked out the truth! But, of course, I shouldn't be surprised by doesn't seem to be bothered by it, though, and this is what I find most understand Remus better than anyone else. I always believed that a relationship between two such people would be the most wonderful thing. And Flitwick considered all the sides of the matter, like what future Remus might have and he actually realized how important it was for Remus to keep his humanity and how horrible it was to lose his human mind every month. Moreover, he, like a proper ravenclaw, is interested in working out the mystery. I was really touched by madam Pomfrey's concern for Remus here. I'd love to know where she got the information about what a werewolf might need. Of course, this might have been just ordinary logic, since I can't think of a book that would have something along the lines of a werewolf needing clean water. I really liked that short part mentioning what Pomfrey required because there are authors who assume she was disgusted by Remus's condition and was affraid to even touch him at first. I'm glad it's not the case with madam Pomfrey 's just nice to read about tolerant and compassionate people and there's something so special about madam Pomfrey in your story. Remus isn't her relative nor her acquaintance, but she genuinely cares about him and what is more, she understands his desire for humanity and that he's just a boy. I really liked how you described all those theories Flitwick came up with. That suggestion Dumbledore was hiding someone from Voldemort there should be used in future,though. I liked the line about the person hiding there being 'ver much alive' and having to be protected from thirst. I'm only not sure goblins would agree to dig a tunnel, since they don't seem to be fond of such dirty work. Unless Flitwick convinced them somehow.

I was jus rereading this chapter for the nth time, and I started wondering about Howlers being tamper proof. What if you aim a killing curse at them? Wouldn't they burst into flames then like that desk in the order of phoenix?
And if not, I'm wondering why no one ever sent howlers to Voldermort. Just send him a barrage of these tamper proof Howlers and deafen him to death or something...

This is incredible! I'm honestly crying a little bit right now. It's really interesting to see the story from Filius Flitwick's point of view and his reaction to Remus' secret. I especially loved the moment when he starts to read Sirius' essay and realizes that Sirius knows that Remus is a werewolf but he still loves and supports his friend. It's a touching and beautiful moment and I really enjoyed reading this. Thank you!

Wow. I don’t know what to say. That was incredible. It was unique, it works as canon, and your characterization was flawless. I felt myself tearing up multiple times. I love how you connected Remus’ prejudice experiences with Flitwick’s, and you perfectly described how harmful discrimination is, and how healing acceptance can be. Definitely one of the best things I’ve ever read!

Damn. You always, somehow manage to make me tear up. I just love your world. Love your wit, humer and the way you write. Oh how I wish your fic was canon. Its that good.

I love this missing moment so much! Flitwick relating to Remus is such an interesting idea that I'd never even considered, and I loved seeing his perspective. (And any teacher that finds themself in Remus's corner is always a warm thought.) Wonderful job!

I'm so happy that the Flitwick one was chosen, first of all. It was one of the ones I voted for, along with the very-near runner up about Remus' first transformation. I adored this one - I love the Missing Moments that have been about people figuring out Remus' secret, and Flitwick is such a lovely and encouraging teacher. Plus there's not a whole lot out there from his perspective like this, so this was really a treat.

For all the disappointment I had that Culpepper did not seem to understand the point of Sirius' essay, I'm delighted that Flitwick understood it and then some. I love that he enjoys the pranks the boys play... certainly balances out characters like McGonagall or Slughorn! Especially giving him full marks for his fire-breathing essay... that's just too much, I love it. I think I would have loved having Flitwick as my Head of House, had I been lucky enough to go to Hogwarts... knowing myself as a student, I would have assuredly been one of those students that got had a tearful breakdown sometime around the end of term, so it's really nice to watch him looking out for his students like that. Having a lenient teacher goes a long way. It's sweet that he takes notice of every one, and even notes Peter's status as the fourth member of the Marauders, which is something so many people miss.

It goes to show how unbelievable it is that Remus could attend Hogwarts that not even Flitwick figured it might be a student for so long. I really enjoyed the details about the staff fortifying and arranging the house for his transformations, especially so that Pomfrey went back over them with a fine-toothed comb. Remus doesn't use some of the features of the house very frequently, but especially during the summer nights he's there for hours, it helps to have running water and things. I love how loyal Flitwick is to Dumbledore, not asking any questions even though the circumstances start to seem suspect - especially since Flitwick doesn't seem to be an order member. When I was younger, I naturally assumed that he was, but I've noticed there really isn't any details saying that he actually is in the Order - he's just fiercely loyal to Dumbledore and a wonderful person.

I do partly wish that he would let on to Lupin that he knows, though... But, of course, it's a mixed bag with that one. He'd feel the relief of not keeping the secret in at least one class, but also the worry that the number of secret-keepers is growing continually. Still, they have - in a way - a shared point of commonality in terms of prejudice, and Flitwick would be a wonderful person to speak to about it if Remus were ever (unlikely, but) so inclined. I'm disappointed to hear Culpepper's extended thoughts on the subject, though... I wondered what he meant when he said he had his own dealings with the Black family, and while it doesn't seem that he's aligned with them, the world isn't broken up into good people and Death Eaters...

I'm just happy that someone, at least, read Sirius' essay and understood him. It's rare for Sirius to turn out such exceptional effort on his schoolwork, and when someone takes a stand on a moral issue it's never proper to have it invalidated like Culpepper did. I'm glad Flitwick is there to be the professor that everyone needs sometimes, never too strict, always understanding, and there when you need the support.
