I really enjoyed this chapter and in fact this whole series of redacted captains logs. They are as always, wonderfully written and you seem to have a natural flare for little used vocabulary which I am not ashamed to admit I sometime have to look up the meaning. I really enjoy your interactions between Spock and Jim which are fantastic charaterisations, especially their dialogue. I would love to see more of Bones in your stories as I feel he has a lot to offer to complement and enhance the Jim/Spock dynamic.

This was hilarious. If I had to pick a favorite line it would be Spock offering to help with the computations so Komack could fly into a black hole. And of course Kirk, through his dangerously high fever, realizing that Chekov's roommate's powerful mother called in the "emergency" as a favor. Heh.
