![]() Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, and Sherlock. "Why did I write? what sin to me unknown Dipp'd me in ink, my parents', or my own?" It's a joy to come here and share my love of writing, reading, and various fandoms. I've met some amazing and talented people from all over the world, and have (I hope) grown as a writer myself through this association. I enjoy reading and writing fan fiction because it gives me an opportunity to linger longer in worlds created by others, worlds I've come to love, and I hope I do the creators of those worlds honor in my retelling. My gen fiction focuses on one-shot character studies and explorations, and multi-chapter suppositional AUs (i.e. how would the characters and overall story change from the canon if one event or situation were changed?). When it comes to reading fan fiction, I prefer stories that are canon, canon-compliant, or, if AUs, are true to the spirit of the canon and the characters I have come to love. These are the sorts of stories I try to write myself, and this is why I only write for fandoms for which I have a deep love and some understanding. I got my moniker, Fang's Fawn, from a very minor character in a VERY lovely book called Bridge of Birds by Barry Hughart. If you haven't read it, do! |
