I got about a third of the way through this when I noticed something amiss. Where you wrote something about fanny and Lettie and Martha not approving of Howl, your story seemed to jump. It went from Sophie's thoughts to calcifer saying something about Howl being in trouble. Confused, I skimmed down a bit and found another part where the story jumped. It suddenly jumped to Sophie talking with this aunt Sylvia character that the reader would have no background knowledge about or even know how sophie came to start talking to this person. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but I feel like it wouldn't be. So I suggest reading this over and figuring out what happened, and check whatever typing program you used. I'll be eagerly awaiting to read this in full when it's fixed. :)
