![]() Author has written 16 stories for Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, Jane Eyre, Enchanted Forest, Hobbit, and Harry Potter. Hello, wanderer of the internet! Welcome to the domain of the apprentice wordsmith. I have always loved to read, and fanfiction fills the void when I can't get to the library. Recently, I've been working on more original fiction than fanfiction, so updates/ new material will appear only sporadically on . I jump for joy every time someone leaves a review. Even if you only have time for a few words, they're like gold to me. Flames will be publicly humiliated then burned at the stake (actually, in the woodstove), so please be respectful. My literary interests are wide-ranging, and include the Lord of the Rings universe, Harry Potter, anything by Bernard Cornwell, Pride and Prejudice, Atlas Shrugged, Chronicles of Narnia, and Jane Eyre. If you find interesting fics in these universes, drop me a line. I can't guarantee I'll respond- perks of being an adult and having to work for a living- but I'm always on the lookout for new reading material. Thanks for stopping in! Update as of March 8, 2017: Technically, I'm no longer an apprentice wordsmith; I'm the real thing! My first novel is now available via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and the Apple Store. It's a young adult fantasy romance called The Garia Cycle: A Kingdom of Glass. Since doesn't like links, I'm not going to test its patience, but you can search for my book by title. As of today, it's only available in digital format, but I hope to convert it to paperback within the next month or so. And I'm working on a sequel, so stay tuned for updates! Update- May 18, 2017: My latest story is available on Amazon. It's a very short- 17,000 words- supernatural fantasy called By the Light of the Moon. Kindle edition is $.99, so if you're looking for something quick and cheap, check it out. Update- February 17, 2018: If you like historical fiction, check out 'Test of Valor', a novella of medieval knights and fair damsels. It's young adult friendly, available on Amazon, and only $1.99. The perfect way to spend an afternoon! Update- June 17, 2019 So, life has been fairly insane lately. Mostly in a good way. I moved across the country, got married, and have published a couple more books since my last update. Even though it's now totally inaccurate, I think I'm going to continue as 'apprentice wordsmith' on this website, just to avoid confusion. The Garia Cycle has another installment, called In Pursuit of Justice, and I'm working on the third one, tentatively called Shattered Land. I've also published a couple of regency romances, so if you like Jane Austen or Georgette Heyer, those might be up your alley. I also have a space opera/regency in space trilogy called the Hartington Series. All of these books are available on Amazon. The upshot of all that rambling is that I've been busy IRL, and I'd be very happy if you are willing to support my writing habit by buying my books. This is my career now, and if it doesn't work out, I'll need to find another job so I can pay the bills. Oh, the horror of it all! |
