its been a while since i have first read this, but this fanfic has always been one of my favorites. I love the story and the characters you portray them to be. They act like the ones from the book. Thank you for this lovely story I can always come back to :)

I found I liked the ch. 10 alternate ending with a faster HEA even better than the original! Of course, reading your original version of the Darcys' harrowing experiences made this alternate ending and resolved misunderstanding all the sweeter and more hopeful. If you ever have the inclination, I'd love to read a fleshed out version of the alternate ending and see what exactly are these "seeds" of their relationship that Darcy intends to plant!

I was supposed to write a review for every chapter but I read it all offline so here’s my review for the whole story.

I absolutely love it! Not only the plot but also the way you write and the way you give light to the characters personality, attitude, mistake and actions.

There’s a subtlety to the way you write. The little things that when put together creates the whole story even without the exposition. Things like Lizzy can’t stand up from a crouch, using a large basket to hide her middle, Richard’s way of speaking about Georgiana and many more moments.

There’s also the mistakes and actions of the characters particularly Mr. Bennett’s so called “cruelty” I’ve always seen him as a distance parent a lacking parent, I’ve always wondered why in Pride and Prejudice he always favored Lizzie and no one else even Jane despite Jane is just sweet and shy. There’s also Lydias elopement and his lack of reaction. Also the little snippet of Lydia being hurt about a callous rejection made me rethink my opinion of her character, Sure she’s stupid but that doesn’t mean she deserves that kind of treatment, and many young girls look for male attention when their Fathers are absent from their lives.

Georgiana and Richards relationship was weird... I’m most uncomfortable about their relationship being romantic as I thought they would be more brotherly/sisterly to each other. But of course there want much interaction between them in the original text so I can see this happening anyways.

Although the plot progressed well in the beginning towards the end it became little anticlimactic, since Darcy and Elizabeth married the other problem (Lydia) did not compare to the previous plot line. I also find your exposition a bit taxing. They were long, very long. I can understand that the letter expositions purpose but when two characters are just having a conversation that’s just an excuse to be an exposition it gets long winded. And without these exposition the story would be much longer although I don’t know wether that would be good or bad. Other than that I have nothing else to say.

I was so confuse at first, where’s Beth? Who are these people? And then I realized all of them are women and have many children and slowly but surely just like Mr Darcy everything is revealed.

I have been declaring all week that this is my favorite fanfiction ever. I am actually a Christian and it really helped me a lot to see these characters struggle with feeling forgiven in spite of mistakes and I am positive it will always deeply affect my understanding of God’s grace and mercy. I thought this was a very daring and superbly, well-written fic! I am sure I am not alone in wishing there were more but I am quite grateful for what was given. Please continue to write as you’re story-telling is great and leaves readers very satisfied!

Hard to say... he seems to have the most pride of anyone! Also fun to read the alternative! Of course, now I want to know exactly how that works out? haha!

This story was mentioned recently by someone in one of the Austen Facebook groups who was trying to recall its title, and it caught my attention as an intriguing variation to consider. Those who were able to provide the title liked the story as well. I really enjoyed it and was quite moved to tears a few times. Well written. Nicely done indeed.
