Mila chapter 19 . 7/12 Love this. One of the best stories I have ever read. I hope is not abandoned because is an excellent story. |
Katie chapter 19 . 7/11 Wow this is great! |
Indigo2004 chapter 19 . 7/9 Well shit. Hermione better have a good obliviate ready... Or Harry might hold this over her head. I love looking back and seeing the changes that Hermione has gone through its amazing! I really hope this’ll get updated soon... Thank you so much for the journey! I’ve absolutely loved it! -dig |
Guest chapter 19 . 7/5 So that next chapter though... |
CaseyMcKay chapter 19 . 7/6 This is SO AMAZING. I love this version of Hermione! I'm kind of bummed out that the story isn't finished, but I enjoyed it while it lasted. |
Kawisdom chapter 19 . 7/1 I've enjoyed this so much, you got to this exciting part (Slytherin is clearly contagious) and stopped. I just have to hope you decide to continue some day. |
Kawisdom chapter 15 . 7/1 Still a learning curve for Slytherin/Gryffindor friendship. Ron wanting something doesn't mean Hermione will agree. Harry seems to understand a little better or has the sense not to expect the impossible. |
Kawisdom chapter 13 . 7/1 Her relationship with Draco is intriguing. She's putting him on a leash to control his worst behavior, but it may need to evolve into a true liege to vassal relationship over time. He's not a really strong person. He'll need to believe that being under Hermione's thumb gives him some benefits. Is it weird to think this could be good for him? The boggart incident indicates to me that |
Kawisdom chapter 12 . 7/1 My two favorite parts of this chapter were Snape's comment to Harry in Occlumency class (You achieved perfect Snape wit in this moment and made me laugh.) and Hermione's response to Ron's thoughtless comment about her being one of the "good ones". Her controlled anger and soft voice were good enough, but her decision to help them at a price showed that she is learning to think in a way her Head of House would take pride in. His spying duties may make it impossible to openly mentor her, but she's certainly bright enough to learn from observation. |
Kawisdom chapter 11 . 7/1 I enjoy the way Snape handles Hermione. You don't make him a softhearted Mr. Mom, but he did think of Hermione's welfare before agreeing to teach her Occlumency. He warned her she'd have to limit her electives. I don't think he'd even consider letting a student get hold of a Time Turner, which I think is to his credit. He also made sure that Hermione's parents found out that she's been through a horrible, traumatic experience. She can think of herself as nearly grown a and a witch, but she's still a young girl who was driven to take a life. That's not something any person can just shrug off and he made sure that Hermione didn't go without support. It's a shame her romance is at a standstill for now, but she's probably wise to want a fresh beginning there. Tom's interference distorted how their relationship developed. Her burgeoning awareness of the widespread contempt for muggleborns is beginning to fuel her ambition and I like seeing it. In a way, she's becoming the antithesis of characters like Dolores Umbridge, a halfblood who lied and claimed to be a pureblood. She wants to make the wizarding world aware of how emptyheaded its biases are. She isn't just doing it for herself, either. She'll drag other muggleborns onto the path of success along with her. |
Kawisdom chapter 10 . 6/29 I know she feels a little dirty about it, but Tom would indeed be proud of how she handled this encounter. I think Hermione also benefited from Lockhart's master's thesis on deception. He would be proud, too. |
Kawisdom chapter 9 . 6/29 This was a really good reworking of the original scene. I am going to sorely miss the sinister, competent and ruthless Gilderoy Lockhart. To your credit, you didn't decide to upstage Harry in this, either. Hermione stood witness to his fight with the basilisk and Tom. |
Kawisdom chapter 7 . 6/29 I don't know why Tom didn't want to possess Hermione, unless it was her muggle cooties, but his current pen pal is probably a perfect candidate. I could see the poor kid falling right into his trap. Your Lockhart continues to make me uneasy. |
Kawisdom chapter 6 . 6/29 A competent Lockhart is actually concerning in this context. Did he mess with Hagrid's memory or is he lying? How did he know the Invisibility cloak was Harry's father's? It crossed my mind that it could have been a Polyjuiced Dumbledore. He wants Harry to have the keepsake, but maybe he's more cautious with student safety than in canon. Hermione's strengthening friendships are still tentative, I think, but Blaize and Daphne do truly seem to like her. So does Neville. I hope her gift doesn't do him too much harm. |
