Nice fanfic, love to see a sequel series to this as well. I almost forgot that g1 transformers could project holograms of themselves and make them feel real to the touch. Shame alot the other modern transformers never brought this back. But then again it used a bit of energon from what i heard.

It also helps that this isn't a bajillion words like your Savior of Worlds fic. Which I'm sure is great, but 100k words is hella intimidating. But I digress!

Anyway, I really enjoyed this story- I loved how you dug really deep into the respective canons to give appropriate cameos (Seacons! Deluxe Insecticons! Probably a bunch of obscure GI Joe characters who I don't know about!)

This said, I think a few things came off as a little too pat- I can understand the 'cons curbstomping Cobra, but at the same time, I think you could've had Serpentor die a little more dramatically, as opposed to a random vaporization. Villains love to monologue at each other! Likewise, a few of the heel-face-turns on the part of the Cobra high command came off as a liiiiittle too pat. But that may be me being a little nitpicky.

Loveloveloved the Mainframe/Zarana business, though, because I am a sap for canon ships. Though I'm kinda surprised you didn't work in any Lady Jaye/Flint shipping, especially since they're Marissa Faireborne's presumed parents...but again, I digress.

Oh, and if you haven't read IDW's Transformers vs. GI Joe comic yet, you really should check it out. You'll either love it, or you'll hate it.

A nitpick: The Canadian head of state and the British head of state are the same person and she is not either Prime Minister. Remember that both Canada and the UK are monarchies, the head of state is the Queen.

Anyway, this story was just plain awesome. Every last minute of it was a terriffic read and down in you usual style.

The grammer and style of the piece was just perfect. There were some small errors here and there, but it was all really tiny or so inconsquntial I hardly cared. The pacing was almost movie like and flowed so well from moment to moment. I felt pumped in every moment, wethr it be from the lighthearted moments or to the terrifying moments with the insecticons.

I lovd the use of the characters here. I have a thing for seeing the future of some hereos and this just hit the right cord with me. CC was cunning and bumbling, but ultimatlly likeable. He was crazy but not too stupid to try and attack the DEcepticons. Destro and baroness acted like a good married couple just trying to live out their days, but at the same time, we see him taking the advantgae of a good oppertunity. Even though I never met Zarna, I want to see more o her now. While at the same time, you also made sure that one o my fave GIJoe couples, Scarlet and Snake Eyes get together.

Speaking o characters, I would be remiss if I did not talk a little about the 'cons. They are at their most frighting here! Ruthless, unstoppable, and vicious, this is what the cons in the films should be! Every thing they do is awesome and I was worried for CC's safety.

The more interesting thing, though, was that I found myself really likeing Duke's fate. Oh, I don't mean that I like him dieing. Actually, I loved that he went out like a boss! He saved people, not dieng like a bitch at the hands of Cobra Commander's worthless replacement. He went out like Prime did, being the hero that we neeed.

This fic, waas superb. Everything I could want in it and more. An adventure with characters I love, looking further into who they are, and just ablast all the way through. Once again, I put my faith into a great writer and I came out smelling like roses. Thank you for an excellent story and I can only hope I did it justice in the live read.

Found out of this while on TV Tropes. I don't remember much of G.I. Joe or the G1 of Transformers, it was many years ago... But I still wonder: what the hell did they give to Serpentor to even THINK he could do anything to the friggin' Decepticons?

What a very fitting end to this wonderful story, RK. You've given Duke an honorable sendoff. Now those whose lives he's impacted will forever remember him as, truly, a real American hero. ;)

You're wrapping things up nicely for all parties involved. Cobra Commander is living like a king, but he wouldn't be a king if he didn't have unfinished business - namely his son, Billy, who lives with the Arashikage clan with Storm Shadow, Jinx, Snake Eyes, and Scarlett. The one called Wade Collins seems ready to begin work with MARS Industries, and Mainframe, Zarana, and Zanya's interactions were totally on the mark. I'll be looking forward to the epilogue.
