Well, I am a long time reader, and a short time writer. I have toyed with a few fics in the past under other pen names, long since forgotten, but my inspiration has returned, and I wish to try again.

I am sure, once the poll decides to update, that many people will be angry with me. This race has literally been tied for the last five days, and one vote apparently pushed it over the edge. However, there are two reasons that, instead of making this story a Harem, I will be focusing upon a Naruto/Hinata relationship.

1.) I have received at least three frantic messages begging me not to make this a harem. One from someone who has claimed to have miss-voted, and two from people who's Java settings refused to let them vote in the first place. If the race was not so close, these would have been disregarded; however, it was so they will not be.

2.) I wish to be fair to both my audience and myself. I have received comment after comment about the pros and cons of both positions. However, none of the pro-Harem comments seem to help me make it believable. With the way this story is going, Naruto is going to have a strong relationship with Hinata. Other girls will be included, but an incident will occurs shortly that will deeply bond the two; making further relationships difficult to impossible.

For those of you who are angry don't worry too much. I plan on having a few flirtations and WAFFy moments with other girls, just that nothing more than friendship will come of it. Hopefully, the quality of the story will continue to interest you enough to continue to read and comment. Please understand that I am not trying to disregard this poll, but I want to produce the best piece of work that I can. As shown here, just as many people wanted a Naruto/Hinata relationship as a Harem, so I am hopeful that I just didn't lose half of my audience.
