very readable, story moves along well. good characters. I'm loving this. are you open to editing ? perhaps using Palpable rather than palatable?

I said I'd try not to review again, but god damn. Finally getting close to the action and there are still massive sections that just slow the story down for no discernable reason. At this point I've probably skipped half the story and it still makes perfect sense, that's how many useless paragraphs have been included! We don't need interpersonal dialogue every second section. I love interpersonal dialogue and getting a feel of the characters, but too much of a good thing is an exceptionally bad thing. It drags the story on way too long and slows down the story right when it should be speeding up. It was useful at the start when you were introducing characters, now it just rehashes character quirks we already know about and have moved past. Focus on forwarding the plot line, not showing us every second of every day.

Ok, I'm reviewing way too much, so I'll try to make this my last. I was originally quite taken with this story, but my interest is slowly dwindling. I'm still determined to finish because I love the plot, but while the writing is fantastic, it focuses way too much on personal relations that drag on and on and don't make for exciting reading. I find myself taking up the habit of skipping several sections at a time and only reading a paragraph or two where I see a sign it may be interesting enough to be worth the pixels it takes up. This story has everything it needs to be phenomenal, it just needs to be trimmed back.

The constant referral to mating was a reasonable side plot or accompaniment to conversation for a few chapters, but it's gotten to the point where it's overused and tiresome to read.

It's a great story, but you explain stuff way too repetitively and it's understandable as it's explanations for characters that weren't originally present, but it's stuff that can and should be skipped over.

It gets to the point where the reader has to actively skip sections to not become bored out of their mind from the repeated dialogue.

This retrieval is so overly complicated, Dobby can literally just transport her after he gives her the note and she packs up her things, there's no need for this long-winded rescue operation

The chapters are sooo long, I've got an assignment due and I keep promising myself just one more chapter and then an hour later I'm promising myself just one more...

It's such a great story so far and I really don't know how I'm gonna put it down to finish my assignment

No matter how many times I read this chapter, this story, this has got to be the best opening in any story I have ever read. And I always get teary eyed... T_T
