The ending of this fic made me really happy. The Sakura and Naruko you wrote about were both broken enough that I was half expecting a teagedy or an unrequited love situation, so the cute kiss ending followed by giggles over Ino's possible future children makes for a perfect ending. My heart feels light and I am glad I found your work.

This is amazing. I started reading this on a whim because I never have enjoyed a genderbend, but everything about this works! I love Sakura's stubborn nature and refusal to give up, and I would love any recommendations on other sakura fics you have/know/like. The only other sakura centric fic I can name off the top of my head is "Timebraid" by ShaperV (I think) and while it is alot longer than this, I liked this fic better, so thanks for being awesome.

I think you made everything more than a bit too grim, both in Anbu's missions, and in how hard it was to be in the Genin corps, it was a good story but a little over the top.

I expect that in a more likely Genin corps, a good deal end up staying there forever, but the rest just only reach Chunin in their mid twenties or thirties, as aside from self training, the only way they have to advance is paying for training, but they aren't stuck with only self training or books, they are just stuck, having to save up a months of mission pays, to pay for a mission, to have one of the more helpful Jounins spend a day helping them train, or several weeks to pay for a chunin to do the same.

Basically Genin corps training might not be sponsored, but you can certainly pay for training, from the less secretive higher ranked ninja, their time is just worth more than yours, so to pay for 1 day of a chunins, you have to save up pay from 5-10 of your workdays, and to hire a jounin, it cost at least 50 times what you earn a day, so considering you need money to live, if you live as frugally as possible, you can maybe save up for 1 day of a Jounins time, every 3 month.

But the mission desk, will be helpful about assigning you a chunin or Jounin, who are both a good teacher, and are specialized in whatever path you want to specialize in, and you can probably get that chunin or Jounin, to spend some of the time they are training you, on giving you things you can work on by yourself, until you can afford to hire them again.
