By "candy" do you mean sweets? Because apparently there's a lot of candy going on in this chapter.

Anyway, LOVE the start of this story!

I thought it was an exaggeration but even if be its don't say candy you use the word so many times it's disturbing.

You use the word "candy" about fifteen times in the first half of the chapter. Now I feel like having candied eye balls. I'm not even a native speaker, and perhaps there's some leeway I don't know about, but I try to be a Brit-picker (for HP, which DOES take place in Britain), and all I have found out online is that British people eat sweets, not candy. And that there's only one exception: candy floss.

I'm not even sure what I want to achieve with that information. If it's just constructive criticism, or if I want to express displeasure for the use of Americanisms in so many instances. A bit of both, I guess.

Wonderful idea, great story!
Rowling put so many things in her world but never really used them.
This uses canon things to make a better story than she wrote.
It is also begging for sequels!

Where did Harry go to school? What were his adventures?
Who did he love? Which witch tricked Sirius into marriage?
How was the prophecy fulfilled? Did the dark lord line refer to Albus?

More please!

Seen a few using the premise of ghostly intervention that were pretty good. "Dead Sirius" by Rorschach's Blot is probably the most memorable.
