| KrisB-71854 chapter 1 . 8/18/2018 This is an oddly done poor taste joke by James. Obviously the only one it seems to have remotely affected is Harry. On the plus side, he wouldn't have to worry about having masses of kids due to inheriting tons of randomly nearly extinct houses. On the minus side, he basically just found out that he has several sort of siblings that no one had ever mentioned to him. O.k. due to blood wards AD put him with the Dursleys. Harry seems to have lots of nonblood related family here. This feels like a nice background start to fic that Harry doesn't learn about until later, but is affecting him and tons of social interactions. Could easily be why everyone magical automatically thinks the worst of him. I feel really bad for Harry though. He could have used any of those kids as a sibling. Finding out that non of them really wanted anything really to do with him? Well, that would have to hurt. I didn't really get what the issue was except that it was a legal issue more than anything. The thing with Sirius at the start basically says that the declared dad doesn't have to remotely be it or anything as long as the name is on the piece of paper it is enough. I'm surprised that the Black family wasn't thrilled to get a next generation heir from that. I could see it being fine for someone to put their name down when they weren't sure or didn't really care about who the biological dad was. This is more of a legal mess. It'll be rather easy for him to avoid issues as he just needs to date any girls 2 years younger than him and problem solved. His dad was dead by that time. That wouldn't help any of his legal issues if any of them wanted to throw up a fuss. I'm stunned that the Potter family had a knut for Harry to inherent. |
